Well, that clear heat shrink wont cut it, it was the kind with the adhesive inside, wont hold shape as well as the non adhesive type.

In fact it's looking like I will cover the entire hose in heat shrink to hold the shape I want.

I have the ability to adjust the stick depth in 2 ways, move down the etching or machine down the top fitting.

Right now it looks like moving down the etching will work best.

I just confirmed the length to the hose mfg, so hopefully soon for those and the ink and stamp for the handle shipped today.

Really getting close.

I want you to know i applaud that you are doing this for us as a group and you taking this on as a side hustle. I have a small side hustle doing laser engravings and some other things . I know how hard it is to find time for everything. You are going above and beyond thank you again.. Even if i don't get a first batch you still get the gratitude.

Yoda say's.....
The force is very strong in Mike, but only one person he is. Not many to make dippy stick, only he.
Take's time it does for product to achieve quality...happy everyone will be with it.
Patient everyone must be for good things come to those who must wait...

Hey Yoda, you said nothing when you saw Luke french-kissing his sister!

As a penalty for that, you must use the Force to help Mike get more of them available...

Yoda say's....
Kiss it was, but only brotherly affection it was...
Force is already very strong in Mike...needs no other help to distract him from completing his mission...Force in me is weak when compared to Mike...

So how many people really care if the heat shrink is clear or black?

I know it sounds like a odd question, I found a clear that does match the specs of the good black stuff I already have a 100 feet of, not sure I can get it here in time though.

I think it looks much cooler in clear, I could even slip in a visible logo, but really, you will only see it during install.

Maybe I could offer it as a option later.

I'm just waiting for the hose Mfg, I had them make two of them with the final bracket, one a 1/4" shorter than the other so I could nail down the exact length, the 1/4" shorter is too short, so I gave them the go ahead to make the remaining 58 at the other length, I'm hoping to get them next week, fingers crossed.

Just wondering if the clear will discolor over time. No preference either way here though

I prefer black, but clear is fine too.

First, you know black meets your requirements, and you have supply on hand. You can always switch to clear at any time in the future.

Second, it is more discreet. But none of this matters once it is installed. Few will ever see it. They will see the bracket and yellow dipstick, and that is where their focus
will be.

This is really secondary to a good functioning product. But just like in software, Sizzle sales!.

That's my $.02 - take it for what it is worth! :)

Doesn't really matter...from what you've shown, only the top end is visible anyway...but if you haven't tried how about red? =)
