You can remove those tow hooks to mount something else. I don't know about a plow, but mine had a previous owner for a year (he traded it in for a 150), and he'd replaced the tow hooks with a mount to carry a motorized scooter; part of it is still there.

Mine's on the left, and @DukeCanBuildit is on the right; he's got a beefier set of recovery shackles, which I'm guessing had to replace the stock hooks. All that to say, you can remove the tow hooks, but I can't speak to a plow rig specifically.
Yeah, those nasty looking carrier mounts gotta go. When I’m back in the city for my usual “cut the grass, pick up Home Depot order, visit the Father-in-law” routine (likely this Saturday), I’ll dig my tow hooks up outta the garage and put them in my truck. They’re yours if you want them - they aren’t going back on my truck and yours are missing, so I’m happy to send them to a good home.

If you’re around, maybe we could meet again at that same Tim Horton’s for coffee and you can take them off my hands. Let me know.

Thanks, Duke, yeah, I'd be happy to take them off of your hands. Only I'm not here this weekend; heading back down to NC. Can I get them off of you in early September? PM me, and we'll sort out the details.
