Just finished blacking out my mirror lights and parking lights. Was super quick to do, and matches my exterior a lot better. I have the livernois tune arriving tomorrow as well, super excited. Just in time for a camping trip.

Just finished giving Big Blue his 30K oil change. Good for another 5K now. Took no time at all, with the Valvomax drain valve and the thumb screws on the filter flap. Didn’t rotate the tires as they will be gone before winter. Next up is getting under and luring the slip joint, got the parts. Getting a little clunking on stopping and starting out. No, it is not the transmission. That is shifting so smooth I hardly notice it. ?

I gave Lucille a bath which was sorely needed. She is a happy camper now and ready for my road trip next week to central Oregon. La Pine, Maupin then Prineville.

Road construction has me driving 1/2 mile each day thru sand, mud, etc. each way to get in and out of my driveway, so this seems like a lost cause… my mud flaps and running boards were caked in mud.

So I washed and cleaned up the Ranger today. Might have used a couple different 303 products.

I don’t bother with any product on the tires, they’ll just get muddy again tomorrow.

Looks good.

Nerd question, on the driver and passengers door, the black that goes up the center pillar - where does the top end? I'll take some pictures of mine tomorrow, both sides end in different places... And one side has small bubbles at the top... ?

Also, where your body panels come together, can you see the primer in the gaps? These pictures are from near the drivers a pillar...

Just had to do it, but i noticed the gaps on the sides of the tailgate are way off. Will have to see wha the dealer says about getting the tailgate lined up better.

I think the damper throws off the tailgate gap alignment. We should start a class action suit against deezee and DamperDave. :giggle:

But seriously, the tailgate comes off and I suspect you can slide it one way or the other to even up the gaps.

Made 4.5 hour drive over the mountains to pickup the topper I bought through the 5g classifieds. I’m super happy with putting the ford magnetic gray on my truck. Exactly matches my rims, bumpers and fender wells trim.

Now I just need decide How to turn it into my camping rig. Been watching a ton of YouTube videos.

First pic was just after I picked it up and second when I got home. Rained all the way home.
