It’s hard to tell from the pic, but did you add any angle to the UCA? (I see it in the lower) Kinda like how the bajakits upper controls are?

Yea. The stock arm is flat. The one I did has the frame mounts 3 inches higher than the location of the uniball, if you're looking at the difference in the Z axis. Then the distance in the X axis is +5. The Y axis is the same.

Reading that I was like, Math? Haha but adding the picture helps and makes sense now. Did you happen to measure the bajakits to see how much they differ from stock? (Frame mount to uniball). Wonder if it’s like 1.5 or 2 inch diffference, as opposed to your 3.

Lol. I didn't measure anything from the bajakits because I wanted my own data and didn't want to do anything from them. I guess I could play with the length of the upper or lower arm to get the upright to be vertical in the computer and try that. The upright is highly accurate but the frame mounts locations I used a measuring tape. The school wouldn't let me use the laser scanner on the frame I had to take parts off of the truck and scan it.

My fixtures seemed to be spot on since the arms slid into the frame mounts effortlessly and cycled flawlessly, however my dimensions of the arms must have had a bad design in terms of overall length or with the angles on the "kicks."

I remember going back and forth on whether I should simply increase the arms 5 inches or extend the arms but keep the same ratio. I figured I would just add 5 inches to both to keep the knuckle upright, and then the knuckle ended up leaning in, hah!

I believe the kicks in the arms are the culprit. I added these kicks because my ranger is leveled 3 inches in the front so I wanted that ride height to be the middle of the travel.
Thank you for info hopefully this helps me with mine. Also with yours working can't you just alter the upper to use heims to be able to get the needed adjustments to get yours to work?

Yes I was considering that and not only.that but I could lock out the lower cam slots for the lower control arms and adjust my camber with the uppers.

Either way the up travel gets into the sheet metal and I'm not sure if it's necessary to move the battery and if the space under the air box is adequate or if that needs to move too lol. And the coolant reservoir and the fuse box next to the battery lmao

You can always install bump stops. How many more inches of travel were you gaining? Like I said for me the magic number is 4.5 which would resemble any numbers from a Bronco and be able to utilize their parts.

Yea I initially designed them to have a strike pad for a bump stop I'll post a picture tomorrow I did analysis on it. The computer showed 16 inches of travel.

Those are some good numbers. Factory raptor or mid travel doesn't pull that. To top it neither do most tacoma long travel out there.

Check out this item on OfferUp. https://offerup.co/Hyuh4DuVgBb

This guy is relatively local to me. He has a 96 inch track with claiming 16 to 20 so for 5 inch arms with a more narrow track width is impressive. The owner of ranger has more details on Instagram I think but I don't have one.
