Problem is likely still there...EGR valve issues don't go away until the valve is replaced...Update. Light went off today after about a half hour of local driving.
Yup. Not only the 3/36 but there is an emissions equipment warranty. There should be a warranty booklet in with your Owners manual, tire warranty, etcAlso wouldnāt this be covered under warranty since only 28k on the truck?
This is one of the two ways Ford sells the sensor...in this case, it is fully assembled with new tubes, bracket and clamps...the other cheaper option is just the sensor alone which you need to reinstall into the old assembly...hope everyone's understanding this distinction...I picked up a spare when this all started around here. Seems it āa when it happens and not when ifā¦

I had the code P139C an a google search said it was either a clogged hose or bad sensor...carbon can get into the hoses so it's probably best to replace the lines an sensor at the same time. This is one of the two ways Ford sells the sensor...in this case, it is fully assembled with new tubes, bracket and clamps...the other cheaper option is just the sensor alone which you need to reinstall into the old assembly...hope everyone's understanding this distinction...
Those used short hoses should be easily re-servicable by blowing gumout through them and let them dry out...I had the code P139C an a google search said it was either a clogged hose or bad sensor...carbon can get into the hoses so it's probably best to replace the lines an sensor at the same time.
My cheap code reader wouldn't pull this code. It said a code was present but wouldn't identify it. My tuner box pulled it. I reset it an it's been a week an hasn't been back. Hope it was just a one time error.
Those give me a bad feeling. I destroyed a good heater core in a 5.0 mustang trying to remove the header hoses an had to tear the interior apart to replace it. If the price difference is minimal I'll probably buy the part with them if I end up changing it.Those used short hoses should be easily re-servicable by blowing gumout through them and let them dry out...
$12 versus $80...I bought both not knowing the difference...I installed the $80 assembly and refurbished the old hoses to the $12 sensor and have it as a spare set for the next round...Those give me a bad feeling.
