I gased up my truck earlier today, and decided to get a car wash while i was at it. Randomly got a check engine light when i pulled out of the car wash, have no idea if its related or random. Dident notice it on before i got in. Also got alert on my ford pass app see attached pic... kinda drove off and seen it while before going on the free way.

Any thoughts?

That would be weird, no real issues with it i just did oil change on it like 5000 miles ago maybe..
I'm kidding...try taking it to someplace like Autozone and they'll check the OBD code for free...then come back with the code...

codes like that should be stored in the computer memory. i'd get it checked even though everything seems fine. my brother had a similar occurrence with his F-150 and it ended up being rodents chewing through his wiring loom. i think it was causing some of his spark plugs to fire intermittently until they stopped firing at all.

point is, the issue can be intermittent and would be best addressed sooner rather than later.

It just randomly went away, my guess is some sensor going bad
10-4 @airline tech cn probably elaborate, but something may have gotten wet causing a temporary short or open. When you restarted it, it cleared the warning, and may not have left a code.

Update

I ended up going in for an oil change and had it checked while i was there.

It was the EGR control vaccum LB5z9J433B.

150$ to scan and find it.
220$ for the part.
75$ labour install.

Prices were in CAD.

Time to buy a toolkit and a scanner honestly.
