My back seats are usually removed and the space full of tools.

But this morning I had to take my adult niece and nephew and a friend to the airport so both back seats were put back in and everyone fit for the 35 minute trip to the airport.

No regrets.

Want to add that the Supercab is a lot sportier looking truck from the side and has better acceleration compared to the crew.

No regrets on my SuperCab. All the trucks I've owned have been SuperCabs (01 Ranger and 10 F-150). I only occasionally haul more than one passenger, and most of my friends and family are under 6 foot tall, so they fit reasonably enough.

My only issue so far is I have a rattle in the door on the driver's side. I'll have the dealer investigate on first oil change. To be honest, I've never had a Ford SuperCab that didn't rattle. This one is just doing it a lot sooner than the others.

I absolutely love my Lariat SuperCrew, but I gotta say, I have to agree that the SuperCab LOOKS better. I think the proportions are better. I wish they would have offered a 6 foot bed option on the SuperCrew, but for me, having the 4 doors was more important than the 6 foot bed. Having a bed extender, along with having a pretty deep bed almost makes up for the shorter bed.

Greetings all,
New member here and in the market for a 2020 Lariat 4x2, but I am torn between which body style, supercab or crew cab.
I really do not need a full 4 door truck and am wondering if any supercab owners are experiencing buyer's remorse about owning a supercab versus a crew cab.
Any advice/suggestions are welcome !
Supercab STX 4x4. Love it.

Dont need a back seat and need the longer bed.

No brainer for me.

No regrets on the SuperCab. My 7 and 8 year old's sit in the back with little fuss, not enough to make me wish I had a shorter bed for their convenience. Also, every Ranger I see has 4 doors so I feel like I stand out a little.

Thanks Hounddog for your honest response, I also have little need for a habitable rear seat and prefer the 6 foot bed.
I currently own a 2000 Supercab which has a disturbing trait, while driving on a certain section of a highway, the body of the vehicle flexes enough to cause the left front door latch to become ajar.
Mind you the door does not fly open, but the door does become ajar, I've owned this truck since new and repeated visits to the dealer yielded no positive results. I've since learned to live with it and avoid that particular stretch of the highway.
Hopefully Ford has eliminated this flex in the new generation Supercab.

Ford bought back my 2000 Ranger super cab because of the same door issues. They got me a nice 2001 super cab that had no issues

My SuperCab comfortably accommodates any four people who would not exceed their individual share of the Payload of the SuperCrew.
After three months of daily use, carrying everything from furniture, to groceries, and passengers from 3 to 96 years old, I love my SuperCab.
I have received nothing but compliments from every one, well... except my 96YO MIL has a bit of difficulty in climbing up into the cab of the Ranger and prefers my Transit Connect which is the perfect height (she's 5'0").

The SuperCrew has only two passenger friendly advantages...
1]A third cramped passenger added to the two comfortable passengers in the rear seat.
2]Rear doors which can not interfere with the fronts.

The SuperCab does offer better access to the rear seat and has the versatility of removing one seat bottom for cargo and leaving one for a passenger.

I know some here are annoyed by the use of the terms "Sedan" and "Coupe", but anyone who has owned both knows that it is a fair comparison.
In the Coupe, the front door must be opened to allow access to the rear seat, but due to the addition of the rear suicide doors the front seat person is not required to exit.
The Ranger SuperCab seating is the equivalent of a typical 2+2 coupe with better access to the rear seats and the advantages and capabilities of a real truck.

The Ranger SuperCrew seating is the equivalent of a typical 5 seat sedan with the great and obvious advantages which accompany the genre, plus the advantages and capabilities of a real truck.
Sedans are inherently more convenient when picking up or dropping off rear seat passengers since they have independently operated doors.

You've overlooked the obvious advantage of a setback that isn't perfectly vertical. Either your passengers have differently shaped bodies or they're being very polite. In my sample set, very few people find it comfortable to sit for long periods bolt upright. Your repeated coupe "analogy" also overlooks this important difference.

While your point has merit, it has no relevance to the "analogy", thus overlooked.
The rear seat of the Sedan is certainly more comfortable, and that is important for those who carry two back seat adults, but to make that comparison in comfort you must then at least eliminate the center rear passenger for any long period trips.

The SuperCab is great for sheltered cargo like shopping trips, and occasional rear passengers for short trips, towing, work, and recreational use...
exactly what it was designed to do.

The SuperCrew is great for a family with a couple of kids who occasionally carry a couple of adults and use the truck as the primary family transportation, towing and recreational use,...
exactly what it was designed to do.

Making the wrong choice would be a disappointment, leading to regrets...which ever one was chosen.

The analogy stands.

:rolleyes:Thank you at least for saying that you think SuperCab passengers tend to be in better shape and more polite than SuperCrew passengers, although I doubt if that comment has any real merit.:giggle:

The rear seat of the Sedan is likely more comfortable for as you say "long periods" but to make that comparison you must then at least eliminate the center rear passenger for any long period trips.

I've never been in a coupe with bolt upright and lightly padded seats so your "analogy" continues to be misleading. I've driven coupes, and the back was possibly cramped and hard to access, but not uncomfortable.

I don't drive a supercrew so I can't speak to those passengers. And for all I know your passengers aren't being polite and are just afraid to get you started talking about coupes and sedans while standing next to a truck which is neither. All the cutsie emojis in the world can't change that you're just ignoring the point, which is a real issue for most people who are trying to decide which truck meets their needs. As I have other vehicles when I need to haul people I don't really care how comfortable the back seat is, but others who need to use it regularly should be aware that most passengers aren't going to be happy for long.

You have the same exact platform as I to express your opinion.
Perhaps your opinion will be better received than mine.:thumbsup:
:idea:9 out of ten Ranger buyers disagree with the choice we share anyway!:p
No need for :computerrage::giggle:

We do agree on one thing that you continually ignore, the rear seat on the SuperCab is suitable for short trips and not intended for adults for long trips, "long periods", or "for long"!.

If someone wanted to be that uncomfortable for a long vacation trip he could fly coach!<-OH, Look! another one of them damned "cutsie"emojis!

Please reread my post #29 ,:fingerscrossed: and see if we don't have common ground. :inlove::like:
