Anyone go on a cruise ship?

The clientele they cater too does tend to be more on the trashy side. I have watched a number of videos of Carnivals caribbean cruises and also belong to a couple different FB pages...no way would I go on one of those.

I've been on nothing but Carnival cruises so I have nothing to compare it to. Mostly Caribbean cruises, one gulf cruise. 2 of them new years cruises. Those were the best but make sure the final day isn't the 1st. And yes, you could choose to see all the Billy Joel and Elton John shows but there were also comedy shows, game shows, and other variety shows.
We dined with other families, our kids hung out together, we ended up doing a show or two together, never had any trashy experiences. Or maybe we were the ones everyone was posting on facebook? ?

Just the other day when we went to the steeplechase races, I drank 17 PBR's. That's after we started things off with a shot of bourbon. PBR's aren't very high in ABV and the races lasted several hours.

My drink of choice is diet Dr. Pepper. I imagine I could put quite a few away if I were outside in the heat all day. Not much of a drinker of alcohol, but I will have a Blue Moon every blue moon.?

I have a SIL that is an alcoholic and we make her bring her own booze because she consumes a quart of high end vodka every day she visits along with anything else we have around with alcohol content. I just can't believe it doesn't phase her and she stays awake all day. She drinks that stuff straight on the rocks. I get woozy just watching her drink. I think there are many others like her out there with lots of money and a alcohol problem that ships have to worry about ????.

Yea big time. They can continuously drink and not get drunk plus get defensive when you mention that maybe their liver needs a couple day break. Almost like drug addiction.

The U.S. Coast Guard said Tuesday that it's searching for a man who fell from a cruise ship off the coast of Florida.

The 35-year-old passenger fell from the Carnival Magic ship about 185 miles (300 kilometers) east of Jacksonville on Monday, the service said in a statement. The Coast Guard is searching from the air and water.
