If you were in the market, would you pay ADM?
Never! That's why I travel all the way to WA to get my Tremor. There was one similar right outside of Las Vegas but they wanted a $4K markup. What was worse is I could've flown out there and drove back all in one day but no was I was paying a dime for a Basic Ranger. Heck I won't pay one for a Raptor either. lol

At this point a Raptor is nothing more than boasting rights that you pay the dealer for the privilege to strut your stuff!
Ya know Rick the more I drive my Tremor the less interested I am in the Raptor. Sure it's nice and has some cool stuff in it but I'm fortunate to have got this one and not have a loan now. What am I really going to gain by spending $10,000+ more? Bragging rights? Meh, not my thing but some need that.

Now if I still had my '19 I'd be more inclined to pursue it further. I did call my local dealer yesterday that has me on his list. He said they're getting 1 allocation to start (every dealer is) and he's taking that one but I'm still first on his list after that. I guess if something changes between now and the time he calls me in the fall I might do it but right now it's a pass.

Same here, no SCAB then not interested. Raptor SCAB, this is the way
I too, lamented the lack of SuperCabs. and no SuperCrew/6'box option. But now I am hearing that al least a SuperCab will be coming later, maybe in the 2024 calendar year, and hopefully a SuperCrew/6' box option and the 2.7L V6, although the Raptor may still be SuperCrew/5'box only.

I think there may be a sea change at Ford. Rather than try to dump the whole portfolio on launch day and deal with the recalls and defects later, roll Job 1 out with limited configurations, and bring more in for job 2 and beyond. I think they chose to roll the high profile Raptor at initial launch to a: shame the Chevy Trail Boss & Taco Trail Hunter B: those that want 6' boxes will sit a little while longer before shopping for a Frontier SV or Taco SR 5.

Agree on the bragging rights thing but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that the V6 has my spidey senses tingling. Also wondering how much tire you can mount without headaches. Would be awesome if 35s or even 37s would fit. My gut tells me that there will be a lot of demand, especially for those of us that can’t help but modify every vehicle we own haha.

Yes the 3.0 is a really nice motor! While I know it's not the same technically you can do the same (or very close to it) to our 2.3 with a tune. My guess is 35'5 should fit pretty easily on it and 37's with a small lift?

My initial reaction was OH I NEED THAT ? when the raptor first was introduced. Now I'd still like one but it's just not top priority since I got my Tremor.

I just had a great visual... you showing up at a dealer lot with your gutted '19 Ranger. I can hear you talking to the sales rep,. "yeah, I know it's missing a part here and there but it has an incredible coating of graphene! Feel it! See? You'll never find another Ranger that feels this good. I want $35k or I'm outa here!"

Fred, I love it!

But once I lowered the tailgate and he saw the damper it would've been a done deal! :captain:?

For sure! Agree, not a priority. I’ve got too much in my 21 and love my little truck, so a change isn’t in the cards for me. I’m very happy with the 2.3 with a tune and this coming from a guy that came from a 6.2 mopar:p Heck, I know there will be folks that will likely mod and push the 3.0 to nearly 500 with big tires. I’ll enjoy being an observer of what others do, much cheaper that way lol. Also avoids my wife’s wrath…I see her watching all the true crime murder shows and taking notes!?

For me its impatience. I am not waiting years for more allocations to be relevant.

This is going to be my one and done truck until it explodes hopefully 20 years down the line.

Actually, you'd see the damper and say that you forgot to remove it but you'll throw it in a package deal of $36k all in!

Mine would be $5000 more, but I would get a few options back that were not available on XLT when I bought, such as heated seats and folding mirrors. Plus you now get the trailer controller, etc. I figure the 2.7 will add at least another $2k when it becomes available. So another $7000 or so to upgrade. Good thing I’m not looking to trade now. I do expect the Ranger numbers will be comparable to the GM twins (based on my prior run through their configurator) for a comparably equipped truck and likely less than the Tacoma.

Looks like the Toyota has a dozen different configurations to choose from. Way too many but they must know what they're doing.
They sell a quarter million Tacomas a year…they have the formula. Offer a configuration to meet all needs unlike Ford and GM twins new mid sizes…

I never owned a Tacoma but I had 6 Toyota mini trucks before Tacoma and an 88 4Runner. Never one issue with any of them. Once they became ubiquitous I wanted something different ?

just built mine and it's only $3200 more than my 2019..... but no supercab fahq ford guess they loose my money like when they stopped making the rangers in 2012?

I like how they include the appearance packages as basic included features. how is that a package then? isn't it just base features? my guess a couple years in they drop them as standard and start offering SCABS
I just did the same and MSRP is $4250 above what MSRP was on my 2019. And, of course, that doesn't include the fact that now there's dealer markups instead of discounts and factory incentives.
