Pecking away at uber-detailing with the Ford Nationals in Carlisle coming up in two weeks.
Repainted the exhaust tip and tailpipe with hi-temp black paint.
Repainted the tow hooks blue. Ford Performance power coated - $125. Or one can of Krylon - $5.
Rub out wheels with tar remover, then again with wheel cleaner. Will wax them later.
Walmart had Cristal Tire Shine back in stock. Dirt cheap and lasts a long time. My uncle turned me on to it. Normally not a fan of ultra shiny tires but I'll do it for a show.

Added the RokBlokz to the Tremor flares. These are the XL flares and the tires are 285’s for reference

Renewed my 303 Graphene application. Found new door dings. Now they’re shiny door dings.

Making room in my glovebox/console

Took the oem bulbs, and used heatshrink from work to give em a nice compact but protective shell with a small footprint. Yeah, I bring the weird "mods".

Well Big Blue and I had a good bad day today. The good I got my MTM lower grill installed. Quick job maybe 10 minutes. Yes, the mountains are blue, alittle darker than I wanted, but I like sutile anyway.

Now for the bad. Itwas a nice day and I decided to work on installing my blue Sumo springs. Well got the truck jacked up and tire off. Gave the bump stop a good yank to get it out of the mounting cup. So far so good. Got ot the socket and breaker bar. Worked it back and forth a little at a time. Then came the horrable cracking sound. You guessed it, snapped bolt.

So now Big Blue will be running around for a while with only one bump stop till I can get it drilled out and re-tapped. Just have to go slow over those speed bumps.

Ugh! Traded it. Sorry guys but I’m no longer a Ford owner. I was swayed by the new Canyon and test drove one earlier this week and fell in love with how nice it drove and rode. By dumb luck I found one in stock an hour away and was able to strike a good deal. It’s fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. I didn’t want the sunroof or the 20s but it had everything else I wanted so if the numbers came out right, I was going to jump, and they did.

Great bunch of people on this site. I’ll still be around, I just won’t be able to call myself a fellow owner anymore.

Pic for fun.

Suggested by @GitRDone in a different thread I added these peel and stick Harbor Freight treads to my Step Bars (the peel and stick didn't work too well...so I used contact cement on both the tread and plastic):

Glad you mentioned that, my peel-and-stick peeled and became unstuck in the Fla sun. Some industrial contact cement took care of it.
