Wow just read the first page of this thread. Dave good to see you are all in once piece. Praying that you will have less stress and get to relax some. What a mess. shame that the old lady's daughter was telling lies and screaming. makes you wanna pepper spray them huh?
now that it has been an appropriate time for grieving the saber beauty- id buy the engine cover of it if possible.
Thanks Mark! Yeah it was bad enough seeing my truck like this but when her loser daughter came out I almost lost it. I was on the phone reporting it to the PD so they told me to get back inside the truck and wait until help arrived. They heard the whole thing which was reordered. Oh, I'm taking the engine cover along with every other deleted item I can grab! They already said it'll be going to Copart for auction so no sense letting someone else enjoy these things. lol

Dave,

We are all glad that you are ok! Also, we're all sorry for the lose of Money Pit. Do her proud and take as much of her as you can to put on the other one (don't forget to get your SIG holder).

Well, shit! Sorry to hear that happened. Glad everybody involved is okay, now. That stress sucks. And I know the insurance companies have to ask questions, but you feel like you are going to get screwed over unless you argue your case. Sounds like you got things lined up. We’ll keep you busy here.

For the time being… pick your favourite libation. Consume. Repeat until you can no longer correctly spell Saber. Sleep. Dust yourself off and enjoy the new truck!
Thanks Dan! I know there's a process but it just seemed to get dragged out because the body shop is short staffed, who isn't today? They have great reviews (which is rare here) and they were really nice when I met them the day it got towed there so I just let them do their thing. It's crazy they were up just under $24,000 in damages with so many other unknown variables. I'm just happy the total loss adjuster was sensible and realized there was going to be thousands in supplements and totaled it today.

Thanks Buddy! I'll have a good amount of "Money Pit" in my new one to make me feel right at home. See John @SigOris the 2019 will live on forever!!?

I do have my gun mount magnet on the list but thanks for reminding me of the important stuff.

I went to the body shop today to talk to the guys there and grab a few other things from my truck. Man this was a sickening sight to see! :frown:

Glad you're OK and glad its totalled so you can go 6G without looking back!!
They didn't waste any time stripping the parts off to fix other vehicles did they?
How is it your spare tire is more aggressive than your other three tires?
Just busting your chops Dave. Really glad you're OK!

Thanks Brian! It'll be fun but expensive. lol I'm going to do a few things different this time. I already talked to the dealer about adding Line-X and a hard fold bed cover. I won't have time to do it once we get back from driving because we're taking off a couple weeks later for our June trip.

Thanks Steve! I'm still getting a 5G, the 6G doesn't go into production until August. I was shocked to see how much they stripped off since the last time I was there. I guess they need to look at every little area to see the extent of the damage. I know Wednesday he said the bed was off and it might be in two different areas when I got there but they must have found time to reattach it.

The spare is a Nitto which matched my old tires. I have no idea why it's on there because the other one wasn't flat. Maybe they damaged more stuff to get the numbers higher. lol

Looks like it is all going well for you. Your insurance company will most likely subrogate to recoup its payout to you and your deductible. Looking at her car, she hit you in a very venerable portion of our trucks, offset collisions can be quite dangerous in general. Once you get the new truck, everything will be back to normal. Won’t be long now.

I was going to message you the other day for some advise because nothing seemed to be going right. My claims agent was useless and it wasn't until the claims adjuster got to the body shop that I started getting answers. The total loss adjuster I spoke with today was an awesome guy and went through everything with me. I guess there's another loss adjuster that handles all the final numbers and he said I should hear from him Monday.

Yes that's exactly what he said, seeing as it was her fault and her insurance company (State Farm) accepted blame mine (Travelers) will go after them to recoup the money and my deductible. Now I just have to make sure they don't ding my insurance for this. He said even though it'll be recorded as a no fault some companies can/will raise your rates.

You can message me anytime. Travellers is jacking rates (took a customer from them today) as are most insurance companies in the past six months, so your rate will probably go up regardless, especially with the new truck. At fault accidents do raise rates, these days any claim be it a tow, windshield or not at fault accident can adjust the rate. The new actuarial pricing models have 80 interdependent variables in the algorithms, so it is incident based. You may have accident forgiveness which will offset. Subrogation can take a year so don’t hold your breath on your deductible being returned quickly. If you bought the extended warranty like many of us, there may be a prorated refund available. You will be fine !

Oxford white touchup paint (applied to dashcam housing) could potentially help preserve it from overheat--and classily match the main decor.

Officer: What you doing in that wrecked truckbed, son?
Dave: Dampster diving.
Officer: Ok. Carry on (or off).

Glad to hear you're OK. I imagine it could have been a lot worse if you didn't have all those layers of 303 on the paint.
And you better check the damper. By the way your rear axle got racked, the damper shaft may be bent....you might have total that as well.
