Retired for now!
Before we traded in our 22 Explorer XLT on the Bronco Sport Badlands that we now have, (the Bronco Sport has a 8 speed automatic that shifts great), the Explorer's 10 speed automatic would have very hard shifts. Most noticeably when using cruise control. My Daughter and son in laws new 2023 F150 10 speed automatic shifts like a dream, perfectly. I guess some are fine and some aren't. Too bad they are not all good! FYI, the Ranger Tremor shifted fine as well....

My previously owned 2018 F150 trans had the issues described, more so than my Ranger now, although shifting into reverse sometimes results in a bump/thump feel.
Be interesting to see how this lawsuit unfolds.

You might actually qualify. According to this site (linked in OP's FA article,) https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2023/ford-10r80-transmission-class-action-lawsuit.shtml

"The plaintiff is represented by Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman, PLLC, The Carlson Law Firm, P.C., Brent Coon & Associates, and Wallace Miller LLP."

Call them up!
Lawsuit originates in Massachusetts. We passed a right to repair law here that has helped consumers immensely. Wouldn’t surprise me if this one also gets pushed through the liberal courts here. So for me the race is on! Will I get a settlement before I get to 100K mileage? ?

Your settlement payment of $3.42 will be coming to your mailbox shortly.....

The payment of $456 Million dollars will be paid to the lawyers separately....

Probably should be a class action on the way they tuned it , can't even use D most of the time as it's in 7th gear before I get all the way out of my garage , if you have just the right music , the vibration from the lugging or "lugation" is not to bad , but a free tune from Ford and I'll drop out of the class action that I'm not even a part of right freaking now !!!
And maybe they throw in a sponge for the top of my engine so i can get the plugs out one fine day...
