Engine diversion

Built a Ranger on Ford.com Thursday night, sent to my sales rep, stopped by the dealership on friday to verify and make one change. Rep told me system would accept no new orders. Showed me the notice from Ford that stated 100% of engine production is being diverted to replace existing motors that were produced with defective tooling resulting in irreparable rear main seal leaks.
No statement as to the length of the diversion. Said engines were built in 22 and 23. Have not seen this published anywhere. Comments?

The notice said a defective tool machined the area of the rear main seal resulting in rear main seal leaks requiring engine replacement.

So glad I have a 21, seems I missed a lot of issues, hopefully dodged that bullet.

I think that leak was the dealer oil change guy , other than that , no oil drip threads , seems like there would be if it goes back to 22 's , maybe the Broncos got all the bad ones ...
