Don't put a lot of miles on the Ranger so this was long overdue. I think this unit was like $30 with a lot of good reviews. Spent a couple hours installing this NOCO BM. It's an onboard version, so this is where it ended up.

They provide a mounting bracket with screws but there isn't a ton of room for a screw mount so I went with zip ties (best invention ever) and it worked out.

Okay, I'll bite - what is it? Battery saver?

Ran the ground to the frame. I could just get the ground screw out. Had to flip the latch on the left though.

Direction say to mount it to the battery terminal but I wanted it to attach before the BMS sensor.

This is kinda of top view. You can see the top zip tie. Holds very firm!

Is it a trickle charger?

And not to be negative sounding - but you can post all of your photos and explanation in one post to make it more cohesive and like a packet of helpful information for someone browsing the thread.

Whatever it is - nice, clean installation! It reminds me I need to clean up some of the fuckery I did installing aftermarket lighting on my bumper.

The last part is a bit of a PITA. I ran the extension down past the radiator and around the frame. Then through the front past the ACC. Then over the frame and down in back of the bumper on the PS. And yes, zip tied it. Turned out very firm and out of the way. Done!

No! Please don't get me wrong. It is helpful - but it would probably be more helpful as one post and also if you told us what exactly it is. If it was one post with all of the information in one place, it would just be a more coherent place.

And again - super clean installation - I dig it!

Was busy today

did hood vinyl, bushwacker rockers, engine air filter and cabin air filter, and changed plugs. first change on the cabin air filter 50,000 miles that thing was gross. gonna swap out the transmission pan for a PPE pan and swap transmission filter and fluid obviously, do the front and rear diffs and also the transfer case soon.

First fluid change of the diffs & transfer case? If so, Let us know what the old fluids look like. Mine looked like grey milk, it was so full of metal dust. They magnetic drain plugs couldn't collect it all.
