Took it to a tint place to get UV tint on the windshield and darker tint all the way around. Still too light on the front but any darker puts it in the illegal range and while I would be ok with that why give the popo another reason to pull you over

Installed the BDS 1” shackle kit. I forgot to take measurements prior to the install, but post install/settling/torquing bolts the drivers side ground to bottom of the fender flare is 38 5/8”. Passenger side ground to bottom of fender flare is 39 1/4”.

Probably one of the weirder "mods".

My mud guards had oddly sharp "claws" that would usually snag my pant legs, or get my elbow if I was doing wheel well stuff.

Used my rotary tool and some sandpaper.

Installed the rodent blocker 2023.

Installed some d-rings on the front side of my bed divider and relocated my Plano storage boxes.

Then checked under the engine cover for any damage from rodents, didn't find any but the 10mm socket tried to runaway. It rolled into the slots in the radiator cover, landed on the plastic inside and then rolled again out of sight. Spent the next hour taking off the belly pan and searching around with a magnet and all I found was a chunk of old tire that got into the shroud somehow. Banged on the bottom of the fan shroud, heard the socket bouncing around and managed to bounce it forward towards the bumper. Stuck my magnet in there and it promptly got lost.
Stuck my hand up in there, found the socket and magnet.

Buttoned up everything and took the Ranger on a cruise along the lake with my wife.
All in all a good day. :like:

Looks good. Which size mesh did you use and how did you attach it ?
1/4 mesh and JB Weld steel stick. I borrowed the idea.
I think I'll be borrowing your idea for the airbox opening. No problems there yet and would like to keep it that way.

Pictures to come tomorrow.
Installed WeatherTech mud flaps (live on dirt road), Husky X-Act contour floor mats (Very impressed, work great with vinyl floor), Bed Rug Bedmat XLT, and Truxedo Truxport Tonneau.

Note on the weathertech mud flaps: they had really crappy hardware. The included clips kept stripping the included screws. I ended up using some spare Christmas tree fasteners I had from my Jeep JK, which worked perfectly. I honestly prefer the christmas tree fasteners and I have many to spare if I break them.

Not sure how much I like the Truxedo tbh, rolling it up seems like a PITA every time, and the fit is pretty meh. I plan to pick up a trifold Gator and try that out too. I suspect I will end up keeping the Gator. Either way, I see these accessories like phone cases, I swap them out a lot!

All that's left is to install the Rostra Cruise Control and figure out a time to get a Line-X or Bullet Liner. I'd ideally prefer to get it color matched, but I've heard that costs big $$. I've already chipped the paint in the bed lol.

Color matched liner should only be a hundred or so more from what I've heard.

Could always get a shade of blue that's close enough. Most people wouldn't notice the differece.

Got my Putco grill and installed it yesterday and finally moved the fenders out a bit. It made a small difference - could have used a bit more space to move a little more but it looks okay. It was never in so much that is was visibly but was uneven compared to the passenger side. At least it moved a bit so I feel like I accomplished something!

Don't put a lot of miles on the Ranger so this was long overdue. I think this unit was like $30 with a lot of good reviews. Spent a couple hours installing this NOCO BM. It's an onboard version, so this is where it ended up.

They provide a mounting bracket with screws but there isn't a ton of room for a screw mount so I went with zip ties (best invention ever) and it worked out.
