It'll be interesting to see what's causing this and why now? Seeing as they haven't had any issues with this in the past ones I wonder if it's just a software glitch as there's no incidences out there yet. Hopefully it's something easily fixed as Ford really can't take many more financial hits.

The company has stopped producing its all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck because of a potential battery issue, Ford (ticker: F) said Tuesday.
“As part of our pre-delivery quality inspections, a vehicle displayed a potential battery issue and we are holding vehicles while we investigate,” said a Ford spokeswoman in an emailed statement. “We are not aware of any incidences of this issue in the field.”
“It highlights the daunting challenge of moving from limited [production] to volume production. It also indicates that EVs require specialized engineering skills that may not exist at the traditional car makers,” says Battle Road Research founder Ben Rose. “It’s an obvious positive for Rivian, as the two are neck and neck right now for EV pickup truck leadership.”
Rivian Automotive (RIVN) shares gained about 40 cents, or 2%, from its level before the news, leaving it up 2.3% for the day. Rivian makes a competing electric-pickup truck, the R1T. Rivian delivered 20,332 vehicles in 2022. Ford delivered 15,680 Lightnings, although Ford started delivering the truck in May. Rivian had a full year of deliveries.
Ford hasn’t said when production could restart or exactly what the issue is, but company officials pointed to a battery issue. That could include the batteries purchased from suppliers, battery-pack construction, or even battery-management software common on all EVs.
