Wow halt production and then increase price.

Honestly after seeing all the issues people are having with purchase of the Maverick from dealers and now Ford is jacking the prices up on the lighting it is going to hurt them in the long run. Yea they may sell everything they have now but after this is all over Ford will be a smaller brand. Between Ford and dealers bullcrap Ford will not be thought of favorably by allot of people. They are thinking short term and not long term about the brand.

I think you are SO correct. I have been in the market for a Maverick for a couple of weeks and the dealers that have access to any stock want crazy mark-ups! There is absolutely no way I would ever pay a $5K - $10K premium for ANY vehicle. I just have to do without it and choose another to be interested in. Heck, I bought my 19' Ranger in early 2020 before Covid hit hard and I paid a whole lot less than folks are paying for the 23' with more features.....Ford has lost their minds and will pay heavily down the road I believe. My loyalty goes out the door when the greed factor comes to town!!

Yea saw like a 45 min video on a guy who bought a Maverick and waited like 6 months and had a price set, he goes to pick it up and they had jacked the price like 6 grand.

Fact is there is going to be so much completion in the space with all the new releases. New Taco, new Ranger, New Colorado, New Canyon and the newer Frontier. Rumor is Chevy is going to have a small truck and also Toyota. Also rumor is back of a new Dakota. There is going to be allot to choose from.

I know it’s not mid size or electric but i I saw Chevy is going to run a small diesel in their 1/2 ton. Ford had one and dropped it, heard jeep is dropping theirs? I can’t see why this segment can’t get filled.
but on this topic of ford and dealers continuing raising prices I’m over it.
