My 22 will have hood struts soon. I ordered them, $57. Used my Ford Pass points. My truck has the ball studs, it's plug and play.

That's great that you have the stock mounting points!

TuffSupport hood struts at RockAuto for about $12 each. $36 with tax and shipping for two of them. Hope I didn't make a mistake.

They might not be plug n play, but generally speaking a little know how and some modifications you can make it work no problem.

That was a specific part number for the Ranger... we'll see. I'll post again after I get 'em installed.

My 2022 SCAB, March build, did not have the mounting points. Not too much of an issue, just added the ones from Redline Tuning.

Same here and I'm happy with the Redline - easy install and work very well.

So, my 22 Ranger was an early build (01/22) that had the strut mount points. Found these on rockauto for $36 including delivery and tax for the pair. Honestly, just one of them is strong enough for the aluminum hood but in a high wind area, both are the safe bet.

But you don't want them to be too stiff, lest you bend your aluminum hood when shutting it.

Queue up the 90's(?) GM's! Ton of hoods had to be replaced.

As a Ford guy I found it humorous. :sunglasses:
