And I would not be going back there. What a butcher. Those scratches look like a hack job removing the weights, well maybe.

Also, would this damage to the rotor cause the intermittent shaking?Iāll check my wheels to see if there is a matching mark, does the wheel have to be removed from the vehicle first or can I see it by crawling underneath with a flashlight?
I believed you are on the right track, I notice a ārubbingā sound when taking a short turn when in reverse, I had the crash-bars removed on the rear and the fronts cut down so they shouldnāt rubā¦Iām goin to see if they are rubbing on something like the mud-flaps OR maybe the sound is the CV shaft!!?? I will let you know if this is the case!! Thank you so much for giving me hope for a solution. After reading this post again, someone mentioned it - Clue
Here They Are:
The one thing that is always taking place is = The Truck is being raised off the ground
Thus, allowing the suspension, mainly and most importantly the CV Shafts are now hanging full down, when the truck settles back to the ground the CV shafts are being moved to normal resting position, drive for a small amount of time all is good, but then the CV shaft (most likely) inner joint catches that one bad spot and hangs up causing the shaft to do ^ this, and the shaft is now wobbling, I am most certain that that is the Vibe issue, as it's not all the time, comes and goes.
The CV shafts move up and down while rotating, if it sticks in any way it's going to vibrate
If it was a tire/wheel issue you would have at least changed it, moved it with all the rebalance and rotations, the only wheel related issue would be the aftermarket wheels, are they always centered on the hub? and do the spacers always allow the wheel to be flush mounted firmly against the hub.? If I remember correctly, dealer swapped rims with other truck and vibe remained. IDK we have others that have posted their vibe issues here so bear with me.
If this was yours, then the Wheel/Tires have been eliminated, although Stick On weights suck, and I only used them when I had NO other option, and yes, the tech did a hack job scotching up the rim.
If it were a front diff issue, I think it would not be intermittent, it would be more all the time every time, certain speed, but I think you would hear a clunking, grinding, whirring noise of some kind
In my opinion, being a mechanic, the most logical item that is causing the VIBE, being that it is intermittent would be the CV Shafts, this is what I would replace and while apart replace the hub assemblies with them, to avoid having to rip apart again if I was wrong and it was the hubs
The Hub Assemblies would be 2nd choice, this you can check with a digital thermometer, drive it and if you have a bad bearing that hub will be hotter, due to resistance heat buildup. It's not a certainty but it is a step-in troubleshooting that sometimes helps pinpoint. but I feel this would be more consistent and not intermittent. (Bearing to Race) Vibration
Could it be a warped rotor causing the Vibe -YES - as this tie into CLUE - You are breaking the Lugnut torque and changing the mating of the wheel to the hub and retorquing the Lugnuts but again vibe would be all the time, not intermittent. Rotors get warped mainly because of improper torque procedures and tightening sequence, or failed caliper sticking (Heat Warpage)
So being the vibe, Comes and Goes, I would eliminate this for now and make it my 3rd choice of possibilities due to the fact that this is disturbed every time the wheels are off
I'm positive it's either my first or second choice items as long as the factory rims have been installed and no noted difference
EDIT:
There is one thing you can do without spending money, jack up truck and loosen and retorque the CV Shaft axle nut, this may fix issue by reseating it-IDK shot in the dark
Yep. They appear to be at step 1. Thats the TSB for the take off shutter, unfortunately. My vibe issue update..... dealership said my pinion angle is off so they installed some kind of shim kit to fix the pinion angle, said it was fixed so I picked it up and took it on the freeway and NOPE still vibrating.....uuhhgg, called and told my advisor and he was pissed that the tech said it was fixed.....so I geuss we'll see what they say next.....
Yea I got a feeling this is going to be a long road to a fix.....uuhhggYep. They appear to be at step 1. Thats the TSB for the take off shutter, unfortunately.
I was told by the Reafylift installer that there is nothing wrong with the installation or damage to anything that they touched during the installation. They did say that the wheels/tires are grossly out of balance and that the weights might have come off due to leftover residue such as glue that wasnāt cleaned off for rebalancing. See photos: my warranty expires in February and I still need to get my rotor fixed so Iām thinking Iāll put my stock wheels and tires back on and ask Discount Tire for a full refund. I donāt like that my truck comes back with some type of damage after a trip to rebalance at Discount Tire. Iāll keep yāall updated. After reading this post again, someone mentioned it - Clue

Ford replaced one of my OEM General Grabber ATX tires under warranty that Discount Tire had roadforce balanced and found it to be at 64 . They got it down to 16 but I still had a issue. So Ford gave me a new tire which ended up being 7 on the roadforce balance. Discount Tire even offered to help me with General if Ford didnāt step up. I would say you have 3 suspect tires that should get replaced.Vibration cause found!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took my truck to Pruskiās in Floresville to get my wheels/tires road force balanced and the vibration is now very minimal!!!! It looks like the tires are misshaped and unbalanced to begin with, they balanced both sides of my rims from putting weights on the inner rim and clip on weights on the back of the rimsā¦I canāt believe that this was the cause all along!!!!!! It cost me $100.00 to get this done but I have the receipt to get reimbursed from Discount Tire.
I believe the remaining vibe is from the tires being out of round something terrible or maybe related to my damaged rotor.
If I didnāt have such a smooth ride when I had my BF Goodrichās initially I wouldnāt have had an issue with the ride I have now. Since my warranty expires next month I want to make sure that there isnāt anything else that needs to be fixed or done before the expiration so Iām still going to Ford Dealer next week. I hope this helps. Please see attached road force numbers, should I be correct in asking for an exchange of tires that have the correct road force number below 15 (thatās the number Pruskis gave me for my truck)????? These are the before and after numbers in photo.

Some dealers have the Hunter RoadForce balancer and guessing most donāt. Ours didnāt have it and they did their balance after the NVH said it was a tire. The tire they said was āoutā and they balanced ended up having 64lbs of road force when I took it to Discount Tire. Ask your dealer if they have the RoadForce balancer and if they donāt then ask them if Ford will cover having it done at a shop that does. If not youāll probably pay around $25 per tire to have them done.Well, joining the club here, not one we want to be in... '21 Tremor, about 15k on my truck, no issues at all up until this point. brought it into dealer for standard oil change, tire rotation, etc. get my truck back and it's got a constant vibration (more prevalent at highway speeds but still there at low speeds). bring it back in for tire balancing, does that do the trick? nope. real pain in the ass, I feel it in my seat, steering wheel, entire truck pretty much; can visually see my briefcase I put on the passenger seat vibrating/rattling too. not so bad that I can't tolerate it but it's definitely annoying and something I want taken care of asap.
I've seen people talk about the NVH app, is it really worth the $100? With it being under warranty and having a maintenance plan I've been using the dealer for convenience but honestly don't have much confidence in them. Anything I can do myself to try to figure this out? I've got experience working on and rebuilding engines, not much else but not afraid to try. standard tools in the garage no lifts or specialized tools though. Maybe I'll give the dealer another shot, see if they have NVH equipment there to use and try to figure it out.
Considering it only started after a tire rotation, maybe it's a tire issue like @BYMranger2019 above, needing to be checked for roadforce balance and the problem tire(s) moving to the front caused it to be noticeable now? Could a dealer check for that or would I need to go to a legit tire place?
Thank you for that information, itās helpful to know how you were able to get your issue resolved and that my resolution should include a request for the replacement of those wonky tires! Iām sure Discount Tire will accommodate. God bless you for sharing your experience, it is greatly appreciated and helpful.Ford replaced one of my OEM General Grabber ATX tires under warranty that Discount Tire had roadforce balanced and found it to be at 64 . I highly recommend to get your tires road force balanced by the dealership and get the dealer to give you the road force numbers, if they arenāt to your vehicles specs you have a right to get tires that meet specs. You have a tire warranty and the information should be in with your paperwork when you bought your truck or go online to ford.com to search for warranty information. My personal opinion is that tires that donāt meet your truckās requirements are defective and shouldnāt have been put on your truck as stock that way. My situation started the same way, all was fine until I had a balance and rotation, I even went through 3 sets and 2 different brands of tires and no resolution. It took a mom and pop shop who had more knowledge on where to place the weights to get them to reduce the shaking. You deserve to have a peaceful ride. DT put the weights in one spot and didnāt clean the residue from the previous balance off the rims so the new sticky weights didnāt stay on and flew off.Well, joining the club here, not one we want to be in...
