Yea, and why do they hate the dash and interior so much? I guess they have to say something negative to keep their jobs.
I think you're right everyone else is saying so they do to.

"The 2019 Ranger makes the most sense if you’re buying a work truck and not a family car"

Fake news. My XL S.Crew makes a fantastic family vehicle for my family of 4. It is every bit as comfortable as our escape and the Milan it replaced. Also taking issue with the bit about base trim not including Sync 3... I for one was not interested in touch screen infotainment and was thrilled to be able to option a base level truck to include only all of my must haves as well as vinyl floors. It's a truck and used as a truck but versatile enough for hauling family too. After 4k miles so far, this is still the best vehicle I've ever owned!

Drove my new ranger for the first time today. My god, I'm in love. If I wasn't so exhausted from my flights, I'd be tempted to just take it for a drive... anywhere, just to drive it.

After seeing the dash firsthand, and using it, I can't agree with any of the reviews. I think it looks great, and feels good for 34k truck. Don't really know what they were expecting. Another thing I was floored by was the room. Rode in the Tacoma last night, and the Ranger just feels spacious. I suppose it could be a work truck, but it's a great family truck!

So we have another satisfied owner? I agree that this is a great mid size truck.

I agree with the last review...this thing is solid and "flickable" offroad. Did about 50 miles in the High Desert outside of Bend, Oregon, and was impressed how well it did on washboard and how predictable it was when thrown into dirt and gravel corners...great vehicle for drifting. Just make sure to get the splash guards first...the magnetic fender trim will get thrashed otherwise.

"Kim learned in one figure-eight test what I'd been hoping for a week wasn't true. The new Ranger is never settled. Its body is always moving, and as a result, so is yours. Bouncing up and down, tossed side to side, thrown forward or back into the seat. And that's the Lariat model. We drove the FX4 off-road model, as well, and it was even worse. Entering a driveway at an angle was guaranteed to send your head flying toward the door window like that viral video of the people in the speedboat getting tossed like rag dolls. You constantly feel like a buoy in rough seas. I actually crawled under the truck to verify that A) it had anti-roll bars, and B) they were connected (yes and yes). The Lariat is better, yes, but as features editor Christian Seabaugh put it, "If the FX4 is a 2/10 in ride quality, the Lariat is a 5/10. At least the Lariat doesn't make me carsick.""

I don’t agree at all. I have a Lariat and the ride could Not be smoother. There is no bouncing up & down tossing me around like a rag doll. I guess I was a fortunate one & got a perfect (yes perfect) truck. No loud noises, no gaps or leans, no faded interior doors, etc. I mean PERFECT. I do feel bad though, for those who are disappointed in their Rangers. That’s a lot of money to spend to not be happy with your purchase.

General Motor Trend is a POS rag that loves bashing anything Ford and hyping up anything made by GM. Witness them having Mustang camaro comparos every month and camaro wins every time you'd think they'd stop already it hasn't helped canceledmaro's sales any. When they start the story "old dog new tricks" you can tell its not going to end well. Can't wait to see all the negative reviews they do on Ram since it has taken 2nd place away from ugly Silverado.

There just trying to prop up Colorado because its starting to show its age and GM isn't going to do anything more than give it a few upgrades.

After owning the truck for just over 3 months, I'll say I have no complaints about the drive. I took 2 relatives for a ride the other day and after about 10 minutes, they were impressed with how smooth the drive was - we were on county paved roads that aren't always real smooth. Gas mileage according to the readout on the dash is consistently between 24-27 mpg. I'm getting more questions about my opinion of the truck now than when I first bought it. And everyone that has talked to me about the truck really likes the color-the Hot Pepper Red. Seems strange they are going to discontinue the color. So far, very satisfied with the Ranger!

Sorry you have sour grapes but the Rangers ride beats any Colorado I've driven or rode in hands down. Current 2019 SuperCrew 4X4 owner.

For reference, I was on a ride along with my buddy to a golf outing, in his Ram Rebel, and my Lariat Ranger definitely rides smoother than that truck. His Rebel has just about every option, including the air adjustable ride height. I was surprised how rough it rode, kind of jarring over every bump for a 55k truck.
