Is there any way to change the system so it's only logging gas mileage while driving or in drive etc because it's logging it while idling in park
I get that that will give you a full idea on gas spending but id like to only know what I'm getting while actually driving or sitting stopped in traffic and not include idling in park to stay warm inside or while its warming up the cabin before i leave

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that’s not going to happen. Since you are sitting around burning fuel what difference does it make?

Using A/S/S should give you the results you're looking for. While at a stop your engine shuts off so you're not burning fuel. If you're in park for that long just turn the truck off.

I kind of get it. Would like the actual mileage while moving because I know it's 0 when I'm not moving. So if you're obsessed with it (I'm an OCD kind of person, especially with dump runs - having used the excuse of a single treadmill box as a reason to do one), I'd just keep a rough running tally of how many minutes you sit parked, or warming up which I often do with remote start). Convert that to hours and take it off your total time (total time is recorded in your truck stats).

But, for me, that idling to warm up is part of my MPG - it reflects the truck's performance and is something I can address to improve it (like adding an engine block heater to reduce warm up time or maybe insulating the garage - but the last wouldn't work since only Kate's allowed to park in there - free longevity marriage advice).

I would doubt there'd be anything in Forscan and I don't know anything about gas tracking apps, like @AzScorpion uses - maybe those have some way to enter idling time?

Just reset the gauge every time you move from park to drive

Wait, you make your wife park in an un insulated garage?

She's only concerned with her car getting dirty ... but insulating it is on the top of my To Do list!

LOL, it's a big step, my old FJ40 sat in there for 16 years! =D

Brilliant idea! Use Trip 2 or B or whatever it's called. And a notebook - sounds like too much work for me, but that would be pretty accurate.

You are really testing people even talking about their ASS usage. The crazies are going to service in this thread now.

I’ve done it a few times ( without the notebook) . Wonder if you could use voice command or Siri to make a “note”.
