Update....and it's positive. After getting the news from Chat that my delivery date had been pushed to 12/20 (from 12/7), I reached out to my contact at the shipper (Adcock Brothers Transport) to let him know. He said he would investigate and I woke up to this email from him this morning..........

"Just got this from staff.

There was a uncontrollable delay with delivery of unit 1FTER1FH8PLE03764, and I apologize. We were able to find a resolution and will make delivery tomorrow 12/06.

Hope it works out!!!"

So, we're back on track. Keeping fingers crossed that my truck will be in my driveway by tomorrow!

And here I was just thinking, damn Ford logistics could f**k up a wet dream.

Also, how did you find the shipper info? From chat?

Wonder if I can get the company that's bringing my truck from the rail yard to the dealers info...

Yes, Chat gave me the name of the shipper and convoy number. I emailed their customer service department.

What was interesting is the guy who contacted me is the company Chief Information Officer.

According to Ford chat my truck isn't scheduled to arrive until the 20th either. W. T. F.

I'll wait until later to reach out to the dealer....

It's so close I can taste it....

And it couldn't get here at a better time - my front lower ball joints on the foz started to pop when I reverse this morning... Probably the "cold" it was in the 60's last night. Lol

Almost makes me wonder if there is a glitch in the Ford system that is causing the 12/20 date to populate.

Ford is just repeating the 2.9 and 3.9 rate from when I ordered in August again here in December when my Ranger is due to arrive.
Nothing exciting, but December usually has some better incentives, so hopefully some kind of rebate or cash back will happen before my delivery. But I'm not holding my breath.

The rate lock was very nice to have. My sales guy was saying a lot of his recent sales had rates pushing the 10% mark, dependent on the buyer too I’m sure.

Another thing to fight for- if you have a trade. Don’t let them low ball you. They may try to make stories that the used car market is tanking, which may or not be so, but keep pushing them up. They ended up offering me the same trade allowance as when I was looking at Rangers mid 2020. I was fairly surprised and happy with it. Just a trick that worked for me. I was no more than $3k-$4k away from recouping what I spent on the trade in vehicle back in 2018 so pretty stoked on that.

Sadly, my truck was a no show today, despite promise from shipper. No idea what happened. Sigh.

I got that email too...

Complete satisfaction would be my freaking truck arrives.

It is like 25 miles south of me, and the dealer is 35 miles north of me.
