I have the MBRP 3" side exit exhaust with the stock down pipe. It is barely louder than stock and steady state cruising you don't hear it at all. Definitely no drone. If you find it to be loud it is because of the down pipe.Got the exhaust on. One thing to note that didn't stand out to me, or my installer, for some reason. BUT, by default, the MBRP 3" single-exit exhaust setup is meant to pair with the STOCK downpipe, NOT a 3" downpipe. Or, at least, a downpipe with a 2.5" out.
My SPD was 3" all the way, so my installer had to cut off a couple of inches and weld on another 3" piece to get it fitting perfectly.
As far as my initial impression - it's loud. Maybe a lot more with the 3" downpipe. But, it seems like there's a fair amount of drone at 70-80mph. :/ Not sure I'm happy with it, but going to give it a few more weeks before I decide.
Running around town, it's fine. Sounds good on acceleration, then quiets out while cruising. It's just the higher RPM speeds that seems to cause it to drone and kind of drown out the nice stereo.
