Well, no doubt I am in the minority here. But, I do like leather and I do like LED's. But I ordered a Lariat for three specific reasons:

1. Push button start
2. Push button start
3. Push button start

Nope. Not joking. While I like other things on the Lariat I could live without them. Prefer them, but could live without them on my truck.

In my world the 3 single greatest inventions in automotive history are:

1. Small block V8's
2. Air conditioning
3. Push button start

I travel quite a bit for work. I won't even take a rental car that doesn't have push button start.

No need to bust my chops. I feel how I feel. It's my money. And I have zero interest in trying to retrofit the option after the fact. Lots of people do not like push button start. I get it. Not my fault that those folks are clueless. :giggle:

Luckily I did not have to explain this to my boss as the only thing she asked about was leather. She's disappointed that the interior won't be full blown leather everywhere. I lucked out (not) having to explain the cost to get push button start!

I turned it off as well, Truck is much quieter. Much better than the fake engine revs.
Clearly once my truck arrives I will have to find someone with forscan that can do this! I just HATE fake engine noise.

I agree. The major problem with fake engine noise (other than being fake and annoying) is that it removes the ability of the driver to notice changes in real engine noises that alert the driver to minor issues before they become major issues. I listen to my vehicle when I drive it. I know its pulse. I can't do that when fake noise is piped in to the cabin.

I had no idea how addicting the push button start would be. That and the seat warmers have been a huge unexpected plus in my book.

Leather... Not so much... LED Lights... Yes ..
Folding mirrors... Not so much... Something else to mechanically break future... Heated seats...sure...but where is the cooling option...a man for all seasons I am...
Push button start....sure too...Rear window slider... yes... I never use but can it not be remote control?
Where is the upgraded wide rear view all seeing and knowing surround camera mirror? How about a consumer convenience option for hood light and hood /tailgate dampers... throwing in a case cover for the size 2 font owner's manual as well and a dangling mirror authorized Ford OEM air freshener...
Puddle lights on the side mirrors...
Could go on for the 'Real' 303A needed package...
Most important missing is an upgraded sound system...the stock speakers and amp suck!
Mars ... Moon roof anybody???

Hell yea. How did I forget the airfresher?!
Oh! And how about a bare foot shaped gas pedal?!?!? (If you chuckled at that you are old.)

Sounds like some of those items were deleted. My 2020 lariat has the upgraded speakers, puddle mirrors and the all important owners manual. Cooling seats would have been nice. My cheeks have never experienced that comfort but I hear its amazing. Moon roof would be cool too but every vehicle I have had one I never really used it.

Rocking an XLT 302A, and I think the only thing I miss is the factory LEDs....

Thing is, I had push button start on my Audi. Push button Start felt natural, because that thing was a little ripper.

On the truck, where I don't feel like I am sitting in a jet fighter cockpit, I could care less.

But the LED headlights...... Ugh, the factory halogens suck. That is literally the one thing I really, absolutely want more than anything. Maybe with my tax return I will get a set of the Morimoto XBs

No regrets in getting an XL - just wanted a pickup to have a bed for hauling (and my illicit dump business). =D

I did get power mirrors and the rear screen in the console with the 101A package. With it being a 2WD Scab, I pretty much have the max available payload of 1,882 pounds.

Plus I genuinely prefer steel rims.

I love this thread as much as I love my XLT.

Mostly because it’s directed at XLT owners to see if they have any misgivings about their choice and it turns out that it’s Lariat owners who are flocking to the thread to tell everyone what they love about their Lariats. ?

If I had paid attention to my psychology course in college, I bet there is a reason why that is...
