Installed 24 RUBBER PLUGS, 20 under the rocker panels and 2 on each side under the floor pans.

And since I installed an new engine cover and hood struts on the Ranger a few days ago ....my 2020 Escape became jealous and demanded the same treatment. So I thought it was best to keep the peace out in the garage. (Apparently Ford decided to delete the covers on the Escapes too )

Thanks for the links for the plugs, looks like I'll need to roll around under the truck soon! =)

Seat jackers. Also vacuumed since the seat was out of the way.

Will do.

During install mine did not have the engraved numbers as stated in the install guide. Did yours have em? Not an issue I don't think but was curious.

Took care of some odds and ends, and some ends and odds.

I ordered a tailgate bungee net and some M8 eye bolts to supplement my 'spensive handles. (Suggested by another ranger5g.com member but I cannot remember who! Sorry but this is my fist bump to you, if you recognize these eye bolts.)

Added a set of "the world's most expensive handles."

Got this AWESOME ignition bezel from etsy. "Orange and Black" complements the Splash package accents perfectly.

Link to the etsy shop, lots of colors available!

Oh, and of course I helped the truck's owner apply a layer of Adam's ceramic protectant to keep my UV Ceramic coating healthy. We know it's early, but the boss likes to keep his truck shiny..

Crud, I don't remember but I think the thickness was stamped on each and powder coated/painted over. I do remember it having a small tab to keep the two pieces aligned.

I was rough on the trim and deformed the edge of each piece with a pointy pick, but I'll never notice it (it's visible but I rarely even vacuum the interior).

Let us know how they work for you after a couple of longer trips. =)

Thanks a lot for the net link, I've been wanting one but never sure what size. And lol on the most expensive handles - amen to that!

You're welcome! You'll see there's two sizes of that model and I linked/bought the smaller size - I like to just fold it over itself and make a basket with it. If you unfold it - it makes it as far as the "wm$h", about halfway across the bed.

I understand where the plugs are being installed and the thinking they are to keep water out but are they going to trap water in the rocker panel that gets in else where? I have not crawled under and looked so this just my thought process.

That definitely crossed my mind. Something I will watch for sure since I live in an area of the country that uses thousands of tons of salt every winter.

Didn't the earlier year models come with plugs in the holes and Ford saved $1.00 by leaving them off of the later models?

The water drains out between the pinch welds. I injected plenty of fluid film into mine for this reason and will monitor throughout the winter. Rocker panel holes are not the lowest point of the rocker panels.

@Ranger X3 ,

It’s probably the same paint code as a Mustang, Edge, Explorer, or something else but each model probably just uses a different name. I’m sure I’ve seen posts on here about this regarding Magnetic Grey and Lightning Blue and the corresponding Mustang colours.
Marketing likes to play with the names of paint colors. Fighter Jet Grey sounds better for a Mustang Mach 1 but the same paint code on a Ranger or Bronco is Cactus Grey. I once had a Focus ST that was called Tangerine Scream, but looking up the paint code, it was called Electric Yellow. It is all about marketing. Plus some of todays paint changes depending on the available lighting. The Tangerine was almost orange in low light, but lived up to the electric yellow name in bright sunlight. i have never seen a tangerine that looked like that.:p

Automotive paint has sure come a long way since Henry Ford would sell you any color you wanted as long as it was Black. But now I wonder was it shadow black, jet black, absolute black.....
