Put in what should have already been in from the factory...

The lower washers included in the Redline kit are too small, so I ordered some black chrome replacements. Have extra if anyone is wanting to put a proper sized washer there.
Nice! I like them and am curious if you left your prop rod in place? I left mine, mainly because I'd stick it in some weird place in the garage and then forget where it is (or toss it out later, wondering what the heck it is).

Installed my (September) birthday present bed lights. My loving wife found them God knows where and when you scan the QR code, your phone fills up with Chinese characters but they do work and they're RGB with a remote, so thats cool I guess. I had been putting off installing these because I usually research the crap out of things before buying them but when it's a present from your wife the clock starts ticking as soon as you get it.

Anyway, I originally had them wired into one of the Tremor upfitter switches but apparently they only work in run and I can't figure out a way to bypass that. I tried moving over that switch on the bottom of the Tremor fuse box and putting a 5a fuse in there but nothing. So, I wired them directly off the battery +. Ground is on a bolt behind the taillight. Also put a switch in one of the holes in the side of the bed. It all works but I don't like the idea of being directly tied to the battery. My kids do not care about turning things off and I expect a dead battery when it becomes most inconvenient.

Didn't do anything very exciting.

#1 Finally got the left side screen to go in to "engineering mode" so I could see exactly what's thing there that might be useful.

#2 aired up all the tires (apparently there was no PDI done on this before it was shipped to me from the dealer in southern CA)

#3 Tried to get Putco to sell me the wiring harness for the plug & play strip light that they sell for the rear of the vehicle. The rep claimed they don't have any harnesses available and that they only manufacture enough so they have an even number of strip lights and harnesses. (I call BS on that)

Dang,m that looks so nice. Ugh, I'm so lazy, I've had the Wolf Haus thing since before I even got my Ranger but it hasn't installed itself yet.

Those lights look most excellent! Nice job! =)

Hey, Dan, I am also thinking of taking out the back seat of my Super Crew. I notice that you book out not just the seat but also the rear upholstery. That gives you more room, which is what I want as well. Are there any drawbacks to taking the upholstery out, such as increased noise in the cabin or exposed wires, etc.?
Yeah it's quite noisy with the seats taken out. When I have some time I'll probably go the route others have done and build a platform out of wood, maybe with some foam on the back side to help quite down the noise. That said, I traveled 8 hours like that and it wasn't unbearable.

In the front for the tie downs I used bolt in tie downs like used for rock climbing attached to the seat rail with a carabiner attached to those. In the back I used M10x1.5 eyelets.

Dan, thanks. In the meantime, I took out my seats and all of the upholstery and found that the difference in noise levels is marginal. Anyway, we are now happily storing a lot more stuff in the rear (which probably absorbs the noise somewhat as well) and will probably just leave well enough alone for the time being...

My understanding is that their plug & play harness has problems. Are you installing their light bar or are you going to use it for some other light bar / purpose?

Just going to use the harness on another project. Can you elaborate on the problems?

Take a guess!

Packed up the afternoon before, another restless night filled with anticipation.

Seems like half this pile is mine (and just this last week!) and many New Englanders empty their paper lawn & leaf bags to reuse them.

The roped tarp works pretty well after removing about two thirds of the leaves (these were slightly wet). It'll likely be four more loads before the first snow ...

Installed 24 RUBBER PLUGS, 20 under the rocker panels and 2 on each side under the floor pans.

And since I installed an new engine cover and hood struts on the Ranger a few days ago ....my 2020 Escape became jealous and demanded the same treatment. So I thought it was best to keep the peace out in the garage. (Apparently Ford decided to delete the covers on the Escapes too )

Installed some white grille lights, went with the white to match my fog lights.

Think of the nighttime dump runs I could make with those! =D

But they look great and I bet they make a huge difference driving!

I have the dimmest halogens on my XL - they're really sad.
