was reaching in the bed of my truck the other day, and leaning on the driver side rear panel, the dam thing buckled in! WTF! it immediately bounced back, but yesterday i noticed a small crease (for lack of a better word) where it had buckled. it is so subtle i wont even bother trying to take a pic cuz i dont think it would even show it. its vertical, very shallow, and about 2 or 2 /2 inches long. not a big deal but it bugs the piss outa me. tried one of these gizmos, and it may have improved it slightly, but its still there. anything else i can try? TIA

Either body shop or DIY "metal massage" which takes patience.

On a side note, don't touch any other part of your truck as it's not just the bed that bends and buckles with ease.

All surfaces can be pushed in with a mere pinky finger on this thing.

Good to know I am not the only one who finds the bed soft as butter. I did the exact same thing, leaned in over the side while applying bedliner and put a crease in it.

No. AFAIK, only the hood and tailgate. One indication that it is not aluminum is it bounced back for the OP. Aluminum has no memory and usually doesn't bounce back. That is why PDR on aluminum is more challenging.

edit: sounds like the front fenders are aluminum also.

Front fenders were aluminum, which was changed after some build date in 2021. You can test with a magnet and a thin soft cloth to avoid scratches.

Ya, there is a thread on here for that!

Old people problems. How to get into bed. Step stools, stairs and retractable steps. Pick your senior aid.

My 2019 has been used extensively for towing, camping, hauling, etc.
One infinitesimal ding in the driver's door so far (3-1/2 years).
You really have to search to find it!

The inside bed of my 2020 Ranger had all kinds of dents and scratches. Front fenders aluminum. My 2022 ranger , is developing scratches and dents in the bed. Steel front fenders. The body on this truck is very thin. So is the bed. And the paint. 1 of 2 real gripes of the ranger. 2nd is the tiny bed.

I find the bed to be quite large for a midsize truck on the ranger. Comparing to all of the competition, it is very deep. Length is what it is for a midsize. The gladiator and Tacoma beds are extremely shallow.
