Installed the SST 3” READYLIFT, kept stock 18” rims, added 4 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A K02 275/65 R18 tires, do I stick with this decision or exchange my BF Goodrich tires for the 275/70 R18’s? Discount Tire will test fit the 70’s but if I go with those do I rule out future installation of aftermarket rims that would fit with my current level/lift setup? The SST READYLIFT is 3” in front and 1” in back to level it out.
The first pic is the new Fuel Assault 18” rims, the offset is +1

It is possible the 275/70-18 will fit but I'm not too sure. My suggestion is keep the 275/65-18. Still a good size and if its not rubbing then you are set. With the bigger tire you run the risk of it rubbing since it will be taller.

Edit:

Keep in mind that if you go to a bigger tire or aftermarket wheels you have a bigger shance of having to do things like modifying the crash bars. Why does that matter? Simply for the fact that if you delete them or change to an aftermarket one you fun a higher risk of your feet and legs getting crushed in a front end collision. Yes others here have done the delete and the aftermarket crash bars but even the aftermarket crash bars dont have a guarantee for your safety. Just something to keep in mind

Thank you for your input, I kept the BF Goodrich A/Terrain T/A K02 275/65 R18’s and had Discount Tire install the Fuel Assault 18” rims with a +1 offset and now the tires rub on the crash bar but only on front driver side, is this a problem with the alignment or do I need to get a different wheel offset? It seems odd that it runs on one side and you can see a visible difference in the distance from the crash bars between the front driver side (the side that’s rubbing) and passenger side.

Different wheel offset. Alignment wont be able to correct that enough

I’m waiting for the 1,000 mile mark to come to get the lift tweaked to ensure that everything has settled so I can get a realignment since I’m having some shaking in my steering wheel with the new rims. I’ve read that a rougher ride is expected when getting a lift and larger tires but I didn’t have any of that until I switched to the new rims, is that normal? Should I take it back to the lift installer earlier than the 1,000 miles, I have about 200 miles to go to hit the break in period?

Depending on what happend you may just have an issue with wheel ballance if you got new wheels and tires. Also sometimes a different wheel offest can affect the front end a little bit due to more leverage(a tire sticking out further can do that)

I had all tires rebalanced by Discount Tire twice since the install and they replaced one rim that they damaged accidentally. When I took it in the first time it was after the crash bar modifications and was to correct a small vibration in the steering wheel but after the rebalance it was shaking pretty badly and the next day they put the tire and rim that had a heavy spot possibly causing the shaking to the rear , it improved it a bit but I finally asked for new tires since one of them was dated 2021 and the rest were 2022.

I really appreciate the feedback that I have received on this issue so far, I appreciate how Discount Tire has worked with me too.
I have a question about PSI, I researched my new tires on another website and it states my psi should be at 35. I had the inspection done by the lift installers yesterday, things are better as far as the shaking but the steering wheel still shakes back and forth when driving on the highway, Discount Tire said to keep the psi at 38-39, should I try to lower the psi to 30 to see if this helps? Note:The shaking bugs me a little but not enough to get rims with a difference offset.

Tire pressure is a good question. First off what does the door placard say? If it say 38 the tire light will scream at you with a lower pressure. If it says 30 the I would run 30.

As for the shake at highway speeds chances are the toe is not set correctly. Go back to the place you got the alignment and have them let you sit in the drivers seat. Chances are you will see toe out and that will cause this issue.

LOL - only NO vote - but that's bc I don't like Chrome!?
I actually swapped my Machined 18s for 17" Magnetic Sports.
Been hoping to find some LOCAL Tremor wheels....
I also did a poll to help decide on wheels (I was keeping stock). Will replace tires when they need it.
Good Luck and awesome that discount is working with you

It’s 30psi on the door, very good advice too. I forgot to get my paperwork when I left the lift shop on Friday, they said they would check the alignment and I also read they the Reafylift SST kit that they installed includes the recommended alignment specs for my truck so I’m curious as to what they set it at too. I’ll check with them again on Monday and see if they can email me a copy of the alignment and specs. Thanks again!

Sounds like the start of a nightmare.
