@subquark those clamps will serve you well. Pretty heavy duty although their size makes it a little difficult to get up in there.

It's pretty much an impossibility to get it to lay flat at the back. The Ranger bed-sides actually contour down slightly, if I remember correctly.

Well, went to pick up my new Ranger today. Only to have to fight with the dealer about price protection on the deal from February, producing the signed DORA to prove it, and producing the $1000 retail rebate offer. Then he told me that if I wasn't going to trade something , he would need to mark it up, $1,500.00. SO I let him look at my trade, and he low-balled it $7500 minimum under Kelly Blue Book. Said he called a few other Jeep dealers to see what they thought about my trade-in, and told me they were slow moving and sitting on the lot still. So I called the Jeep dealers and they said they had none on the lot and that the longest they ever sat on the lot was 2 weeks. I told him that this was not the same truck I ordered (Lariat 501a, and the LED headlights were deleted), so I just wanted a refund of my deposit, to which he said that deposits were non-refundable.

So my 'we will do what we need to do to keep the customer happy and make the deal right' was a wolf in Sheep's clothing.

Need to find the Georgia Law so that I can get my deposit refunded.
Damn that really sucks

I have a Truxedo Low Pro on mine, and the same thing occurred.
And, yes, the bed top rails do curve down about 6-8 inches from the rear of the bed.
Lay a ridged flat along the top rail and toward the end there is about a 3/8 to 1/2 inch "drop" at the end.
No way to get around it as, at least with the Truxedo, the side rails are to ridged to "bend" to the contour.

So I've spent some drunken, angry f-bomb filled week ends in vain then, is what you two are telling me?

yes. But on the bright side, you got to drink? ?

Trust me, I went through the same fight, but without the drink. LOL I have a rack AND a hard, rolling bed cover!

So after some other calls to another Ford dealer, who said report them and what they were doing would impact their allocation, and getting ready to call the GM this morning, they called me first and actually offered me a better deal. Personally it came down to my salesman getting the deal or it being sold by a different salesperson, and the fact that I told them I was going to pull my Lighting reservation from them.

so planning to pick up later today. We will see how it goes….

The new look really rocks , looks like you decided to go with the raptor lights
Thanks, I like it. The Tremor grille nostril red and hot pepper red paint being off didn’t look quite right. No lights in the grille yet. Damn, I’m gonna have to do that and spend more money.

I tried to wash it... never ever going to buy a black truck again.?
This is after an hour with the power sprayer. Last weekend i hit some mine / oil roads and the dirt from them is mixed with crazy glue i guess.

Get a clay-bar or equivalent on that before it ruins your paint!

This. When I originally fabbed up my pod storage system my OCD kept going off.

I was trying to use the bed rails as an optical point for leveling it and it drove me nuts till I realized what you pointed out.

Rewired my bed lights to direct battery power(vs the aux connection) and added a 3 way toggle and relay controlled off the cargo lights. Now I have always On, always Off, or On with cargo lights.
