Pepper got a bath today, waited til the sun was almost down bc it was really sunny. Leaving for a couple weeks at Bethany Beach tomorrow, and was up in the air on which car to take, Ruthie's Escape or the Ranger? Hmmm..."seems we have a lot more stuff this year and I don't think it will all fit in the Escape", I say, so she says, "if you want to take your truck, that's OK, it's just easier getting into my car". Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more, say no more...Pepper's going to the beach! So she had to be washed, the guy in the next condo has a sharp red Tahoe, and I don't want to be shamed parking next to him! Look out @Cape Cruiser ...

Thanks for the reply..

Springs are from Icon... 4 leafs, but which one do you take out? A longer or shorter spring?
I have found some lowering shackles recently so maybe that is the way to go..

Thanks!
Where did you find lowering shackles for a 5G ranger?

I have searched as well, if you look, the spring is already close to the frame, lowering shackles will only be able to drop it a small amount, but you found some for a 5G?

Installed a Velosatech Big Mouth this morning. Trimmed the radiator shroud for hopefully more airflow. Then had my local dealer do the 10k mile service with oil change and tire rotation. Looks like they are recommending a 5k oil service interval.

Adjusted tonneau cover cause the rails were sagging.
Made it worse.

Now I'm moody.
I have that problem with my Gator, at first only 1 latch didn't, now the 2nd latch ng. Left side rail sagging. Maybe I'll take it off and reinstall...

It’s funny how some/most dealers recommend changing the oil sooner that what Ford calls for in the owners manual.
I assume it’s a good money maker for them.
You will like the big mouth, have had mine for 10k miles and certainly noticed a slight fuel mileage increase.

Must be a gator deal. Mine was missing the center clamps (huge ordeal) so I was considering order a 6pack(these) to see if that'll help.

Can't figure out if the side rails or bent/sagging or if the bed sides are designed like that. One thing I know for sure, installing bed covers on the ranger is a royal pita.

Does the grill have to come off for this install, or just the top cover above condenser?

I'd looked at this product but wasn't sure it was legit. Their website claims +2mpg with no other mods/changes. Seemed a bit far fetched to me. What improvements have you seen?

My last car wasn't a BMW. You see, I'm shy. So when it occurred to me to take a picture somewhere, the bank parking lot seemed like a good spot. I don't want to be out there seen taking pics of my ride so I quickly stopped, snapped, and left. It just makes me uncomfortable.

However, wrongs need to be righted and I sure don't want to offend anyone. So after seeing your post, which hurt my feelings, I went back to the bank to park more perfectly for anyone that I offended. ?

Well, I think the perfect parking job is any place at the dump! No lines and no judgement!

You can park next to Soupie anytime Justin! =)

Amen on tonneau PITA action. Fighting the devil would have seemed easier (and probably less sweaty) than seeing me doing that cover. And I had to do it twice after the first one was replaced in the first two weeks!

By that point I was defeated and just gave in that if it took an hour or a week, I'd get it done again ...

But thank you for the link on the gator clamps! It never occured to me that I could get some. Doubling up what comes standard will certainly make it more stable and harder to break in to.

Thanks!
