There was a software update to 2.3.48 - do you have that installed?
@CHrisin can you verify what version of FORScan software you have?

Its a fresh install with 2.3.48.
Only module w/o menu option is PCM. I need to spend some more time in the car playing with it. Too freaking hot and I will be traveling. Hopefully it will cool down a little in a couple of weekends.

Maybe I will try a down rev version of FORScan

I've never been able to do any PCM adjustments (that I remember) I always chalked it up to the fact that I have the Ford Performance tune.

I just grabbed 2.3.48 that replaced 2.3.41 beta that I've been on for almost a year. I will try both tomorrow if I remember to see if the PCM allows changes. I can also try to take the tune out to see.
I also have access to the Ford IDS and FDRS so I wonder if I can nose around in PMI and see if anything can be changed.

I can make changes via Hex. I just don't have the drop down to select Cruise with ACC. As NA settings for PCM via Hex are not yet confirmed I was hoping to go the menu route. Figured this would also help clear up Hex.
Appreciate the help will be interesting to see what another US Ranger sees.

Update - I have not actullay saved changes, only can edit the hex. I read somewhere that there are extra steps to saving to the PCM

I use Forscan 2.4.2 beta - it allows you to upload and update Firmware

Starting to work on FORScan in prep for running wiring
@CHrisin I dont have PCM Module option (menu changes) only As Built - any thoughts?
@daczone Once the CCM is plugged in will it show up in FOrScan?

I haven't yet attempted this project, Looking to do it next week. Got my boat project done and have a few Ranger items to check off:
  • Leveling kit
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Light bar while bumper is off
  • Swap XLT cluster for stupid Lariat crap.

One of the best things I ever did.
Don't forget the RH steering wheel buttons since you have to pull the wheel to install the ACC buttons on the LH side.

People have done it without removing the steering wheel but the amount of standing on your head (figuratively, of course) did not outweigh the extra 2 minutes it took to remove the steering wheel.

Yeah I was just reading that, What is the difference in the buttons? Did you find a want to change your mileage? My truck has less than 10k on it and every cluster I find is 20-30k

(Update: found a cluster with just 9k on it and ordered it, as well as the switch)

I bought a cluster with 18K on it and waited until I hit that mileage. With the Lariat buttons and the XLT IPC you can't switch stations, pretty much only volume works.

Back to the topic at hand (my fault)

Can someone please update/share the exact list of modules that needs to be altered when adding ACC?
I'm headed to the lab where I can dig around with the IDS and the FDRS to see if they can be done the 'Ford' way.

Is this the list?
IPC
SWC
ABS
PCM
IPMA
BCM
RCM (Maybe?)

V = Asci decoded VIN
CS = Checksum
APIM
7D0-01-02 x2xx xxxx xx CS
7D0-0202 xxx8 xxxx xx CS

I believe CHrisin also used:
PCM:
7E0-01-10 > xxx3 xxxx xxxx
ABS:
760-03-01 > xx31 xx

For US trucks: 760-03-01 are coded differently:
Our trucks have xxx4 - xxx7 (my decoding says EVEN 4,6 has no Trail Control while Odd 5,7 do)

Also our PCM does not have a 7E0-01-10 block. We start @ 7E0-162-01

Looking further at this data:
ABS Blocks 760-03-01 decode like this:
No options 0004 6F
ELocker (FX4) 0005 70
+ACC 0006 71
+TrailControl 0007 72

So 760-03-01 should be 6 or 7 depending on your options. with a CS or 71 or 72

Hmm, now you've piqued my interest.

If you know the code for trail control in the ABS module, and the other modules have been adjusted to accommodate ACC, I wonder if Trail Control is the next option to add?
You've added braking and throttle control, right? So adding the switches might be one of the only things extra that's needed since trail control uses the ACC buttons to activate it - I have a VIN for a truck with trail control.

Also, here are 2 more VINS for Rangers with ACC if you want to research the as-built. I grabbed them from the dismantler where I got my sensor.

@daczone FYI
I found THIS thread on just adding CC
I didn't study in depth but it seems to cloud the PCM setting further

Thank You, I will check that out when I get home and have my data. Noticed he doesn't touch the ABS module. So it's not 100% correct, but worth comparing. My number compare 100% to CHrisin with the exception of the PCM and ABS modules.
