Going south thru Kanab?
That's the route. It's a nice ride that way and I've had enough of highway driving for a while. Well at least until Sunday where I've got a 6 hour/430 mile drive back home.

Dave fantastic shots! You got me hooked man, got to head out that way and explore for like a month!!! On my bucket list now.

You saving any footage off your dash cam?
Thanks Rick you'll love it out here! The west is so much different than back east and it's never ending with the sights you can see out this way, we haven't even scratched the surface.

I haven't saved any dash cam footage but I should've. There's been a few things I thought about saving but I always forget about it once back at the hotel. I should've just installed a 3 TB hard drive, we took everything else in the darn house why not that too! ?

Route 89A is great drive thru Vermilion Cliffs but if you’re trying reduce time getting home then Route 89 proper is still a great drive.

Enjoy!!

Thanks Steve I'm glad you and everyone else have been enjoying them! Unfortunately I think this was our last big day because we have to start cleaning up and getting packed up tomorrow so we can leave Sunday morning.
Hi Dave,

Just to let you know, the heavens opened up at 4pm, ruinind our 5pm RV get together. I had to resuscue Tito before the torrential down pour with seconds to spare.
Ark is still a possibility.

Best,
Phil

Thanks Phil. Looks like it was a good decision to stay here and not get rained on and it was a lot cheaper too. Maybe in August we'll head up there if the Monsoons have calmed down by them.

I'd love to but from where we are taking the 15-93 is the easiest route. Plus on Sunday all these smaller towns are having a parade (billboards have been up for days) telling the roads will be closed from 9am-12pm so taking the highway is really the only option because of that. All the damper stories will have to wait a few more months. lol

I just went to the car wash (hand wand) to wash my truck and noticed the total mileage from our trip. Last night was the 4th week (28 days) and I had originally estimated 3,000-3,500 miles, man was I off. This is almost a years worth of driving for me and I'll need another oil change when we get back. lol

We did find a lot more to do along the way and some exploring off road but it was all worth the added gas $ as there's no price on the memories. One thing we said before leaving is we're not going to look back and say "I wish we would've done that". Well we did it and then some. ?

We still have another 400+ mile drive home tomorrow. Sid @Msfitoy I'm getting closer buddy!?

Close for me too, I average about 6,500/year. Now I'm glad when I added the extended warranty I upped the mileage to 75,000. :whew:
