I think they both look good. My preference is the Ranger, however I like the Tacoma as well. I would be proud to own either one.
That's it Phil, we can't be friends anymore.?

So the pros come with that kind of grill I am guessing versus the lower factory options?

I am sure yours looked better with the lift and tires, but where's the fancy baby shower photos for it :p
It was alright. It went through a hood vent phase lol

comparing the two...how anyone thinks the Taco is better looking is beyond me.
perhaps their oxygen levels have been low for a long long time?
Honestly the only thing that brings down the Tacoma is that grill design and having chrome headlight housings. If the grill was a simple honeycomb design and the headlight housings were black, it would make a world of difference.

i mean i do all the time! all i gotta say is 2nd gen best gen lol
The 2nd Gen Tacoma really was the best one. When I bought mine they were just changing over and I test drove a 2015 but it didn't have all the options I wanted and no one else around did either. So I had to order a 2016 which was nothing like the 2nd Gen. Boy was I shocked when I got it, it was nothing like the 2nd Gen and I hated it until the day I sold it. The only plus was it held it's value and I got into my Ranger for very little money with the trade in.

Thanks bud. The ranger is going to look better. Just a matter of time.
Excited to see what you will do with it. I'll keep an eye out for sure :turkey:

Don't mind the Tacoma, just prefer the fords interior. Maybe because I'm bias and refuse to try anything else. Also american auto manufacturers can build a truck, the foreign ones can as well but not that good.

Overseas they keep up well, but they do not do good when they give up their diesel engines and get some crap engine out of a sedan. Just saying. The Hilux is a beast of a truck.

Looking back, it was just too good of a deal to pass up.

I never thought I'd park next to a Tacoma.

But I did.
If Ford hadn't brought the Ranger back to North America when it did, I was on my way to being a Taco owner. Seen too many Hiluxes perform while deployed overseas. Thankfully, Ford saved me!

That's how I ended up in my 2016 Tacoma. The Ranger wasn't out and the only choices for a mid size were the GM twins and the Tacoma. I went with the Tacoma because if their history but the new drivetrain is terrible.

Yup that’s true I drove the 3rd gen when I was looking at new mid size trucks and the only thing that I liked was the manual trans if the ranger had a manual I’d love it even more but sadly we get an auto lol
