Parking lot at the visitors center is small and doesn’t accommodate many vehicles. So had to park down below at the picnic area and hike back up??
Great pics! I love old towns & old cemeteries.After the cemetery we drove down the hill to Deadwood and spent a few hours walking around. A lot of history in this small town and many people dressed up in old cloths from that era walking around.
They have a tour ($15.00) of one of the original Brothels. There was an older lady (70's) sitting on a bench and when her husband walked out from the tour she said "Now go was your hands". ?
Brian @BS67 We went into the Midnight Star Casino. Not sure if things have changed since you were here but it's really small and there wasn't any memorabilia anywhere. The first floor had a few slots and a bar area towards the back left corner and up stair there was only a handful of card tables. It was still a cool old restored building and we didn't bother to play (lose) any money there. lol
We've been there twice over the years...stayed at the KOA campground you pass just outside the park entrance. They show Close Encounters every nite, popcorn included !!!

Great pics, ahhh now I have to make that a destination!! I was so close but never made it there. I way underestimated the windshield time when I went to the area.
I must say these Rangers are great on road trips. I don’t care how you slice and dice it. Best vehicle I’ve had since 1972 for a road trip combined with off-road capability and economy!!
