The bumper comes with trim pieces that cover the stock crash bars. Whether you remove them or not is still based on all the typical considerations. (Lift, tire size, bumper clearance, etc)

How does the weight of the ARB bumper compare to the OEM bumper?

A bit more I think, but not by too much. Remember... our N.A. bumper is steel. The world bumper isn't. The big difference comes when you mount the winch.
That said, I really don't notice any difference in the ride. My truck isn't stock though.
See below for my mod list.

175lbs per Ok4wd arb bumper info

I’d surprised if the stock bumper is more than 65-75lbs.
You linked the ARB Summit bumper. It's a monster.
The Ford Performance/ARB bumper is nowhere near that Summit bumper. Two totally different things.

B.

Edit:
I just looked at the Ford Performance site again. They list the bumper as 170lbs "Packaged" weight. I remember the box it came in and it didn't seem that impressive. That said, OK4WD had a summit bumper on display for a while in their show room. It was a substantial piece of hardware. There's a real difference. I don't totally get the published numbers, but the 2 bumpers are way different.

Ahhh my bad. You are correct. I have the summit and that’s where my brain took me.

Got my Warn EVO 10 installed. What a PITA... The ARB website says that it's compatible and fits but I couldn't just pop it on. First of all, the winch has to mounted sideways so the mounting bolts go through the fairlead. You're going to have to buy longer bolts due to the design of the bumper. I think the longest they included was like 55mm but you're going to need 100mm for the bottom. Next- there is no way in hell I could fit the winch back there with the control pack on. I needed like another 15mm or the intercooler is in the way. I moved the control pack to where you see in the photo. There are 4 holes there that line up the holes on the control pack. This meant that I needed longer cables to reach the winch. I had a local shop just fabricate some 2 gauge wires. I moved my license plate up so the top of it is cut off. I don't want to deal with a folding bracket. I found out that the cables were too short when I had everything installed. So I had to uninstall everything and reinstall to get to those wires lol.

How is access to the winch once installed? Can you get your hand on the winch lever?

This bumper looks so good!

Still considering this bumper especially at the price of $995. However, the closest dealer to me listed that will take delivery of the bumper from the Ford Acessories site has indicated they will not work on vehicles they did not sell. I know there is an optional $240 installation charge, but I don't know if that will have any bearing. The local dealer I purchased the Ranger from is not listed as an eligible delivery location.

I would still ask your dealer to order it and see what they say. I had my 4x4 shop order it. I have no idea where they got it, but they did.

Yet one more example of why we hate and talk shit about dealers.

I am convinced if just one dealer in a market would do things right, be fair with both new vehicle sales as well as service, they could put 90%+ of their competing dealers out of business.
