I regret not getting the Klein Bottle turbo.for reals?
can i install 2 of them?
We bought a 22 STX a couple of months ago.. No problem at all passing vehicles, trucks. Have your Turbo system checked.Newbie here. I have owned a new Ram 1500 every 3 years for the past 15 years. All V8’s and a hemi in the last three. I got bored with my 2019 black crew cab, Bighorn. Didn’t have all of the bells and whistles but it was nice and fast. Had a console so big 4 adults could eat Big Macs on it at the same time.
In 21 the Ranger really caught my eye. Problem was so many choices. so I started shopping around. I actually order 3 different ranger from different dealers all three completely different. soo let the waitI get game begin. 3-6 months was the time frame. This was in May of this year. Also due to the new way of the world my Ram appraised at 8-10k more then the payoff. I told myself hell yeah! I gonna get all the bells and whistles and coincidentally a local dealer just happen to get a Lariat. I jumped on it. I’ve bored you long enough so I’ll skip the window sticker. So to my point. I love everything about it except for the ability to leave most other trucks at the light or pass that creeping semi on a crowded expressway. Just wondering if anyone downsized and got to the point of going back. I will say I do like the look and the feel of the Ford trucks now.
ok, you can wake up. Thanks for listening

I thought the same thing about the climate control.. (22 STX)... But I'm slowly getting used to it.For a 4cyl engine I expected less but got so much more. It has has twin turbochargers and powers through a ten speed transmission. It jumps! I enjoy this truck more than anything else I’ve owned in my 76-year life. I do have a minor regret; I traded in a ‘17 Ford Edge that was a good car but I hated its climate control. The worst design ever! Well, rats. Those same awful climate controls are on my 2022 Ranger! As much as I don’t like those controls, though, I would buy my Ranger all over again. Oh, and last weekend, I pulled a dual-wheel U-Haul loaded with my sons apartment furniture about 260 miles and it pulled like a champ!

Man, I am never going to be able to look at a Viper emblem w/o laughing now.My 2019 Ranger does 0-60MPH right at 6 seconds flat with no tune.
Maybe you should have bought the SuperCab 2WD?
Maybe you should buy a tune??
Where I live, the Rams do get faster every year as they age....they get lighter as they rust away!
BTW what's with that Ram emblem?.... It looks like a uterus drawing from a biology book!
That's almost as bad as the Viper emblem which was just an upside down Daffy Duck!

It only has one , twin scroll turbo but about the same effect. Yeah my sales guy said it had twin turbos…For a 4cyl engine I expected less but got so much more. I found this video about the 'twin turbo' but I can't say with certainty that it applies to the 5th generation Ranger. It only has one , twin scroll turbo but about the same effect. Yeah my sales guy said it had twin turbos…
More accurately, here's an engineer talking about the 'twin-scroll' turbo on the 2.3L Ecoboost engine:I found this video about the 'twin turbo' but I can't say with certainty that it applies to the 5th generation Ranger.
You do know that's a diesel??I found this video about the 'twin turbo' but I can't say with certainty that it applies to the 5th generation Ranger.
I realized that later. I’ve now posted a video that’s more accurate.You do know that's a diesel??
This is the only thing I really don't like about the ranger if I am being honest. It's to low and I always need to look down to change somethingI thought the same thing about the climate control.. (22 STX)... But I'm slowly getting used to it.
Suspension is a simple and cheap fix. Blisten 5100s and call it goodOk, I'll weigh in on this thread. I've had my 22 Ranger now for four months and 4,000 miles. It replaced two vehicles, a 2004 F-250 power stroke diesel and a 2013 Focus ST, ST-3.
The diesel was a great truck, owned it 10 years and 159k miles, great vehicle, but just TOO MUCH TRUCK for my needs anymore, it was sitting way too much.
The ST I adored, Mountune intercooler, Rousch intake, Magnaflow exhaust, Cobb tune. It was extremely fast and still got 35 mpg. I loved the suspension, tight, and the car handled on rails. All options including push button start.
Bought my Ranger, 2022, XLT, FX4, Super Crew, splash, trailer tow, technology package, cyber Orange. Love the truck, but was disappointed push button start was only available on the Lariat. I wanted cloth seats in my truck, so I bought an XLT. Push button start was standard on the Focus ST.
Second and most major Ranger complaint, the stock FX4 shock valving SUCKS! I was behind my truck this weekend riding my brothers's new motorcycle as he gave me a back road tour of his town. It was disgusting to see the ass end of my truck pogoing up and down. I've had many FX4's before, never have I seen such a sorry suspension on a new vehicle. It literally is shameful.
So that's my disappointment and remorse. Yes, I plan on changing shocks, BUT I shouldn't HAVE to! My brother has a 21 Tacoma TRD pro similar to my truck, the suspension feels GREAT, but not impressed with the rest of the truck, so I know I made the best choice. Ford dropped the ball on this important aspect of this truck, an area that they have always done a great job on the F-150's.
I use the "gears" icon on the steering wheel, then click on the "climate" button on the touch screenThis is the only thing I really don't like about the ranger if I am being honest. It's to low and I always need to look down to change something
