Newbie here. I have owned a new Ram 1500 every 3 years for the past 15 years. All V8’s and a hemi in the last three. I got bored with my 2019 black crew cab, Bighorn. Didn’t have all of the bells and whistles but it was nice and fast. Had a console so big 4 adults could eat Big Macs on it at the same time.

In 21 the Ranger really caught my eye. Problem was so many choices. so I started shopping around. I actually order 3 different ranger from different dealers all three completely different. soo let the waitI get game begin. 3-6 months was the time frame. This was in May of this year. Also due to the new way of the world my Ram appraised at 8-10k more then the payoff. I told myself hell yeah! I gonna get all the bells and whistles and coincidentally a local dealer just happen to get a Lariat. I jumped on it. I’ve bored you long enough so I’ll skip the window sticker. So to my point. I love everything about it except for the ability to leave most other trucks at the light or pass that creeping semi on a crowded expressway. Just wondering if anyone downsized and got to the point of going back. I will say I do like the look and the feel of the Ford trucks now.

ok, you can wake up. Thanks for listening:)

For a 4cyl engine I expected less but got so much more. It has has twin turbochargers and powers through a ten speed transmission. It jumps! I enjoy this truck more than anything else I’ve owned in my 76-year life. I do have a minor regret; I traded in a ‘17 Ford Edge that was a good car but I hated its climate control. The worst design ever! Well, rats. Those same awful climate controls are on my 2022 Ranger! As much as I don’t like those controls, though, I would buy my Ranger all over again. Oh, and last weekend, I pulled a dual-wheel U-Haul loaded with my sons apartment furniture about 260 miles and it pulled like a champ!

2019 XLT Sport 4x4 with 25k miles. I love my truck and has plenty of go go. I need to concentrate to stay off the pedal and keep gas mileage higher. My only regret is not getting the lariat with heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, and led headlights.

1981, I'm not any gen ?
Very nice Ranger! I much appreciate the feedback. I’m loving mine more by the day. I’m averaging 20 to 21 miles per gallon on the highway so hoping that gets a little bit better with age. Currently right at 1600 miles.

I don't think I have a sport mode in my 2020 Lariat. Do you mean 'S' on the transmission and then toggling through the gears?
You don't have to toggle through the gears, that's manual mode. Sport mode is just when you shift to S and let the truck shift. It significantly changes the shift profile.

IF the Maverick with the 250 hp 2.0-liter EcoBoost had been available in FX Trim (skid plates, tow hooks, rear locker), and IF it had been possible to install on it a 3" lift kit to enable 34" tires I would get the Maverick to tow my 800 pound aluminum overland Trailer. Since none apply I am glad to have my Ranger. If at the core it is larger than I will ever need, it has pulled the trailer anywhere I have had the courage to point it , and gets almost 20mpg with the lift kit, grill guard winch, and 34" 10ply rated tires.

I eat there all the time. I could walk there from my house. I took the picture because the restaurant has a Wall of Fame where customers with a red truck can contribute a photo of themselves with their red truck and it gets placed on that wall.

No remorse here either.
i bought a pickup truck
not a race car.

I'm not reading everyone's posts, I know these turn into the my truck is so fast I beat a blah blah blah....well, let me tell you, that blah blah blah probably wasn't event trying to race you.
take it to the track, get some numbers on some time slips.
otherwise, you're just....well, you know....

anyways, here's some numbers.
work on your skills, losing the race is probably cuz you're the problem. reaction times are your friends.

So my humble little STX Supercab is faster than a Tremor?

No heated steering wheel on the 2019 Lariat.
