Next time you get gug butts all over the front, try using some Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming Bathroom Cleaner. It's what I have been using for years. Its harmless to all finishes...just think of all the different materials in a bathroom, from rubber, to glass, tile, and all the different finishes.
In the shade, just spray it all over, let it soak for 5 minutes or so, and than just wash it like you would normally wash your truck....really dried on stuff may take a second spray. The Bubbles soften the hard dries stuff, and makes it easy to wash off.
Used it on our old class c motor home with a soft brush and an extention pole...you all know what an rv front looks like covered with dead gug butts...Bubbles take em right off.
Steve,
My neighbors are already suspicious of me because of my OCD...if they see me using Bathroom cleaner on the Ranger, I'll probably get a visit from mental health services :headbang:

Relocated one of my anteeners.

The ten foot tall on the rack look with a folding bracket was a cool novelty... but per usual that got old quick when pulling into garage or going through drive-thru and having to get out and fold it down lol

Today had some fun with the 2022 Ranger Lariat I received from the dealer a week ago. I ended up forced to disconnect the Morimoto XTR LP Reverse Light System because when connected to the reverse lamp wires, all the truck rear lighting - turns, brakes, reverse, are not working. Hmmm.
Put my trailer ball hitch with sway bars into the 2 inch receiver, broke out the pair of wrenches to set the height for my 18 foot single axle camper. Read the manual to learn about towing and took it for a ride around the block. Well the 7 pin camper cable is just too short and on right turns the cable pops out of the connection on the back of the truck. So I ordered (from etrailer.com) a new 6 foot cable and a junction box to make a neat clean splice. That's a job for next week.
Redarc brake controller is neatly installed behind the driver fuse panel and is out of sight. I cannot tell if that is working yet because the trailer cable keeps pulling out of the connection.

Not so much "doing to" as "doing about" the Ranger today.

The Bak Revolver that I installed two weeks ago seems to have popped a joint!

Anyone else get this? I have a ticket in with Bak about it.

I believe the C-shaped channel has spread open as seen in the last pic blow.

Not today. But over the past ten days.
Installed a 589 Fabrication mount and Superwinch SX12.
Lots of work but glad to have it on the truck.
I made a post to the Tech, Exterior section that has more information and pictures.

I've also heard that the mechanic's car is the last to get fixed and the lawn car guy has the worst looking yard.
I know for a fact that this is true. :( We own some property that a man, who owns a lawn mowing business, rents from us. This man absolutely will not mow his yard. Pitiful.

Changed my oil, rotated tires, for the 6th time. It's easy do it yourself (& I'm 72). Never used any oil, been overfull or smelled of gas. Just another day in a long line of no problems.

Another shot of it, it's detached from the next one and would take some serious finagling to get them to overlap and reconnect (but it would clearly separate again quickly.

Wow, I couldn't have asked for nicer or better customer service. I had bought directly from Bak and did a support ticket yesterday with the same pics I've posted here.

Within a few minutes, they sent me a FedEx return label and will send me an entire new Revolver. They said just to use that box and I can schedule FedEx to pick it up the old one when I'm ready.

Bak really came through for me and I hope this replacement lasts a long time because I do like how it works both closed and open (and for the price, it ought to give me a neck and shoulder massage as I'm driving down the road! ).=)

Stay tuned for a later update ...

PS - Yes, I have to remove all the parts and reinstall, but since I've already done that twice, I'm a seasoned installer! =p
