De-bugged the Ranger this morning from the trip to the mountains last Sat. Used Mother's and it worked well. The AVS Bugflector II did a great job...not a speck on the hood. Before and after pics below. The worse bugging I've ever experienced was on a trip to Dallas June of 2019 in my previous Ranger. When I got out of NM and into the Texas farmland got hit with a storm of inserts. So brutal that I had to clay bar it to get it off!

Next time you get gug butts all over the front, try using some Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming Bathroom Cleaner. It's what I have been using for years. Its harmless to all finishes...just think of all the different materials in a bathroom, from rubber, to glass, tile, and all the different finishes.
In the shade, just spray it all over, let it soak for 5 minutes or so, and than just wash it like you would normally wash your truck....really dried on stuff may take a second spray. The Bubbles soften the hard dries stuff, and makes it easy to wash off.
Used it on our old class c motor home with a soft brush and an extention pole...you all know what an rv front looks like covered with dead gug butts...Bubbles take em right off.

I installed the TVD dash decals. What a challenge for a person like me with big hands! Have to wait until the letters dry and properly adhere to the dash. I have an extra set that they provide in case they don't last or I need to redo them. Installing these will test your patience!!!

They look great, I was lucky enough to have my daughter install mine.

Honestly that sounds like a lot of work.
I don't see how XM is even still in business with streaming, large USB storage devices to hold music.
Especially at the prices they are charging.
If you are a music only listener, I agree with you. But lots of people listen to news, weather, sports, talk radio (Stern), etc.

I agree. Most of my highway driving is from north Texas to northern Oklahoma, and there’s not much in the way of terrestrial radio in between. There is much more than just music.

I bought a lifetime subscription to Sirius back in 2004, and it costs something like $30 to transfer it between radios each time change cars, but I also have a subscription in my wife’s Lexus. It’s about all we listen to in the car, including the sports and news channels

Since I'm still in a holding pattern waiting on my Ranger. If Ford still gives the $210 in Ford Pass points...
What do y'all think about spending it on the Soft Roll Up Tonneau Cover that's $369 so basically making it $159 or the Premium Roll up for $549 which would make it $339.
I think shipping to the Dealership is free
I did exactly this. I have been pleased with the cover.

Which one did you go with? The $369 one or the $549?
Besides tints, stubby antenna and console tray. The cover is one of the main things I want to do asap
I went with the premium for the lower profile.

Niiiice.
Think that's the one I'd go with too. Basically getting the premium for the price of the regular one
It sits pretty low which is what I wanted.

Dealer wanted my truck for 2-3 weeks just to diagnose since there was no CEL. Can’t wait that long for something that only cost $45 and is literally one bolt, a plug and two hose clamps to remove and replace.
Car Dealers  . Wife's Taurus Nav quit working. Pulled in service writers area. Rep said it is probably the sim card failed. He handed me one to try and it fixed the problem. I am done, right?

Not so fast buckaroo. Have to rite it up and have service tech fix it so Ford will pay for it under warrantee. Three days and a rental car later it was fixed. No cost to me but that is not good service IMHO and Ford says they are trying to reduce warrantee costs. I could make some recommendations.:p

Installed the winch. Pain in the ass.

If it makes you feel any better, it was a pain in the ass with my AFN bumper too... I get why shops charge so much for winch installations.

After owning my new ranger, I had the low brake fluid light come on after day 4. Rear caliper was defective and leaking it all out…
Holy crap! Glad the light came on and that it wasn't a light on the rear end of a semi that alerted you!

Today, I got my tails wrapped and installed some Amazon switchback front LED turns. I'm about to head down with the laptop to turn off hyperblink in Forscan. (Can anyone actually say or type forscan with a straight face?)

I'll get some pics of the tails with the backup lights and turn signals on tonight to see how the wrap effects the brightness. I don't think it'll be too bad. The factory LEDs are pretty bright.

Next up is to plastidip the front valance. I might go to the Depot and grab some now.
