I don't listen to the radio enough to justify that expense. $10 a month for spotify on my phone, more than enough for the few times I need jams.
if you get one of those xm calls asking to renew just tell them how you hardly listen and its not worth the price since spotify is $ etc. after a while they will get down to 5.99 a month for a year. Then normal price. when the year is up i will cancel and try again for 4.99 month lol. almost forgot never do the reconnect fee. its like a few mouse clicks for them and key strokes. it should be free in the first place. told them that and they waived the fees. I think each person making the xm renew calls in on a sales commission for numbers of renews instead of price of renew. so if you want the xm just ratchet jaw them down for a bit and they will give in. they want the sales numbers.

Rotated the tires and cleaned and detailing sprayed the Ranger today. 9 months and just over 9k miles (13,500k total) and I still love it just the same.

For real cheap I got these for the back of the cap. I see cheap looking taco’s with the window full of ugly stickers, so I decided to one-up them with vinyl. In total they were about $30 (had a guy on Etsy send custom pieces) in matte black. I wasn’t sure I would like it, but it was cheap so I decided to give it a try and I must say, I do like it a lot. The matte black on tinted windows isn’t too flashy, so for now I’ll leave them on and see how I feel in a month.

After I did it I took some stuff to the recycling center and was told I have an awesome looking truck, so that’s 4 people in two weeks so the smile will have to stay. ?

Technically this was done yesterday but window tint for the front windows and black step bars because apparently hopping into this truck before the step bars aggravated my sciatic nerves LOL.

Had to do it.

De-bugged the Ranger this morning from the trip to the mountains last Sat. Used Mother's and it worked well. The AVS Bugflector II did a great job...not a speck on the hood. Before and after pics below. The worse bugging I've ever experienced was on a trip to Dallas June of 2019 in my previous Ranger. When I got out of NM and into the Texas farmland got hit with a storm of inserts. So brutal that I had to clay bar it to get it off!

A few weeks ago, I realized that I had received a mis-matched set of drop steps for my GoRhino RB10 running boards. GoRhino sent me a full replacement set which also helps me replace the steps that had exposed metal despite the ridiculously thorough packaging materials they in which they were wrapped for shipping.

I also installed an engine cover that I bought from our good friends at @LevittownFordParts.com. I had no idea what the material would be like, but I guess I was expecting it to be more rigid. I was impressed by the flexibility of the foam, and I am guessing it will do a great job of cutting down some engine noise, not that it ever bothered me that much.

I have those RB's and really like them, but would be afraid to put the steps of for fear of wiping them out, to me they seem to hang too low! The lovely wife, at 5' even is ok with them for the past 2 years...

When I renewed mine this winter, I went online and did the chat thing. Didn't even have to talk to anyone and still got the $5 a month price.

If I were doing any kind of off-roading, I would remove the drop steps for sure, but for day to say use, they are great. It took longer to unpack the steps than it did to swap the step. I bet I could remove all 4 in less than 3 minutes with my electric impact driver.

I changed back from the dual port BOV to the GFB DV+. It's probably psychological, but the truck didn't feel as responsive when letting off the gas and then getting right back on it. There was nothing really wrong with the dual port, but I'm a fairly aggressive driver and need the truck to go when I tell it to go.

same here, the calls annoying. The xm folks should just make that the standard price. it would bring in more customers so what they dont get in short game dollars they would get in long game dollars by having more long lasting customers renew.

Retired for now!
I installed the TVD dash decals. What a challenge for a person like me with big hands! Have to wait until the letters dry and properly adhere to the dash. I have an extra set that they provide in case they don't last or I need to redo them. Installing these will test your patience!!!
