That's good, that's the way it should be. But, there are a lot of dealers trying to mark them up, and some are trying to markup ones that customers have special ordered.
Yeah that’s bad. I wouldn’t pay a markup on a special order truck and it’s bad because dealers figure they can still sell what would be your truck. But gas and inflation about to put it back to a buyers market.

Luckily my dealership Has been pretty friendly. I had emailed them yesterday to see if the truck had been canceled or if it was still shipping because I couldn’t pull it up on ford tracker. Dealer said it wasn’t canceled and they’d check and get back to me next week with an eta. Decided to check Ford Tracker this morning and it actually said shipped.

Received my order confirmation on April 25. The wait begins I suppose. Hopefully the bed extender doesn’t add months to the order

Well hot dang...
The dealer ordered Ranger I put money down on finally says Shipped after weeks of being stuck at built and also days of Ford Order Tracker not pulling it up.

Just checked and also fainted LOL Heck maybe it's been shipped and just getting updated on Ford Tracker. But I'm guessing maybe two weeks ? Hopefully before Memorial Day weekend.
Wish me luck
Same here, I really didn’t expect an email from Ford time stamped 4AM this morning saying my order shipped. Only took 7.5 weeks after it was built but it’s on the way. I’ve lost some excitement over it so we’ll see what they offer on my trade and hopefully seeing it in person and sitting in it wins me back. If not, someone else in the area will buy it and enjoy it.

2022 Ranger?
Gee..that's rough. Some of us might have to deal with it when we get our Rangers. Anyone with legal background, do we actually have a case in the court for something like this?

What a night. Never experienced picking up a vehicle like this before. I thought all of the deal was done when I ordered (selling price etc). It started off when took uber to the dealer (my wife doesn't drive freeways or where she doesn't know has vision problems). He got on the freeway and his transmission wouldn't shift. He got off and dropped us off at a Target store 15 miles away from the dealer. My wife said it wasn't his fault but kind of is. I said it was his fault he bought a damn chyrsler. Called the salesman to tell him we would be late so he came and picked us up. Then when we started to do the paper work they all of a sudden dropped a $3500 fee on top of what we had already agreed upon. At this I blew up. My wife finally had to tell me to go outside she would handle it. The sales manager was a dick. All he could say was 'we can sell the truck for 10000 over sticker.' Finally my wife asked him for documentation that they were forcing us to pay this so when we went to a lawyer with what I had signed before on the price of the truck. Finally decided they would drop half the fees so I figured instead of getting the truck below sticker I would be paying about sticker price. The finance manager was hearing all of this going on. When he got the paper work he had us come in to sign papers and he told us that he dropped all of the fees and the deal ended up a little better than before. He said that there had been new management since I had ordered my truck and they were putting on these fees which he didn't agree with since I never signed to them. So after all of the hassle we finally left the dealership with the truck and a little better deal than before.

It is completely frustrating but very telling to see what kind of dealership it is when they are more concerned about adding fees that we all know is pure profit to with the rationalization that they could make even more selling it to someone else. Where are the business ethnics and integrity to honor a signed deal regardless if they were the management at the time of the deal o not. Customer satisfaction and loyalty seems to be sacrificed almost daily for the sake of the $$$$. And after all of that they will probably scratch their heads why you are not a return customer later.

I am glad you walked out with a deal a little better than your original deal, but I would still register a complaint directly with Ford as well.

I’m glad you finally got yours, I’m over 8 months from ordering and still no truck!

Hey guys, this is my first post on your site.. thanks for adding me. I have been lurking on your forums since i ordered my Ranger back in February. I visit this thread alot to see if you guys are getting your Rangers or not. I see alot of you are in the same boat as me and my sister also. My sister ordered a bronco 2 door hartop almost 2 years ago. After problems with the top and the chip shortage, she finally got the "built" notification back in february. It was supposed to be delivered the end of feb.... as of today, its still not here. I got my "built" email April 19th and still waiting for delivery.
So my reason for this post is to share some info that my dealer told me about a few days ago. He told me that they just got a delivery of 3 explorers. He was confused because they werent built for customers, they were just for regular inventory. He asked the driver about what is going on at the Ford plant and why they are not getting the vehicles that the customers are waiting on. He said the the vehicles are ready to go, but that the drivers are able to pick and choose what cars they take based on how much money they are going to make. I am in northeast PA, so i assume that Ford is not paying them alot of money to make a 9 hour trip from Detroit to here. With gas prices at 6 bucks a gallon, i guess drivers are not making enough profit to make certain deliveries. They then contacted Ford directly, and they said that all dealers have the option to come up there and take the cars themselves. Now my dealer is trying to team up with another dealer to see if they want to get a trailer out there to bring our cars home. Or another option was to just drive them back. Dealer also told me that my Ranger is now on hold status and not ready for transit. It just infuriates me that Ford wont pay these drivers enough to compensate rising gas prices so that we can get our cars. I feel the only way me or my sister will ever see our cars is that if our dealer goes up and brings them home. I guess we will see what haopens this week...

Good chance this is totally unrelated & most likely due to just driver shortage, but in my area, lot of cars seem to arrive by rail to Port of Portland(Oregon). When I was asking about the ETA of my Ranger, one of the guys helping me hinted that after the vehicles arrive at the port, it can be a challenge to find the truck to deliver the vehicles to the dealership.

Again, this is a local issue in my area + my Ranger is arriving by rail(hopefully next week!).

I got another Ford email for my original order, they're pushing out the delivery date again.

This makes me even more glad that I bought the one off the lot. I've been driving the wheels off it and so far I couldn't be happier!

Heard from my salesman on Friday. As of Wednesday of last week, the train destined for Colorado was in St. Louis. ETA to drop the truck off in CO (I think he said Aurora) is still destined for the end of the month. Way things are going, late May - Early June I will be signing papers

More than 6 weeks waiting for a spot on a convoy (trailer.) Missed the third delivery window. Called ford customer service and complained for the third time, as I promised I would. I also promised this would be the last Ford I would own.

Finally picked it up today.
I must say though I loved Lightning Blue, there’s something unique about Velocity Blue that kind of reminds me of a similar shade of blue sold in the mid late 1990s on Ford vehicles.

50 days (over 7 weeks)since built and released. On the fourth move out. Supposed to be delivered this week. Only 2 hour west of factory will ship convoy when it goes. I have my doubts and have lost all excitement that I had. Such bullshit Ford can’t get their head out of their ass. Will check back in on week 8 and let you know, I’m sure I’ll still be waiting.
