I'm I were you I would ask the dealer why they can't change the order their is no reason why they can't!! If you haven't been scheduled they can change it you just ordered it before the cutoff! Their is something fishy with that dealer I would call another dealership and ask them if what they told you is true!! Also you want to talk to the finance manager not a salesman they are the ones placing orders and get all the info from ford for their orders! I would definitely look into that before I give up!! But if you can find one out there that fits your needs go for it just watch out for their market inflation at the dealership you go to!!!
I think you are suggesting that I should get into an argument with the dealership.
There is no way on God's green earth I would ever do such a thing. I am not in need of an argument. I am desiring a new Ford Ranger. Period. In my personal and professional life I have zero time and zero regard for arguments. I have parents that fill the role of a good argument.

At this point, I think it would be a good idea for Ford to at least reach out and make contact with those who placed orders several months ago and have yet to hear a single word from them about the status of their order. There've got to be thousands of customers out there who suspect their order has been lost. Economic sweeteners should be considered.

There have got to be so many unfilled 2022 orders that you're got to wonder if they'll all be filled for the 2022 model year. I’m almost hoping they won’t fill mine and I re-load for a 2023 next generation.

No that is not what I was suggesting I was letting you know that all dealers are not the same some are just in it for the money!! That's why I suggested you contact a different dealer and talk to them about your situation and see what they say! Maybe your dealer is just being dishonest and telling you something that is not true. Just a suggestion take it or leave it

I hadn't heard of the constraints on step bars. I have them on my build and I am scheduled for the week May 23rd. I did remove spray in bed liner and Auto stop though.

(501a package)
Yea I believe the step bars are at a certain constraint percentage since you are scheduled for production and they have them to put on your order but black appearance package comes with them and they don't have any parts for those orders that's why they skip over those. All I know is that I took them off mine hopefully can get scheduled next week if ford is scheduling rangers

I called them up today to check on my order. They confirmed that it’s still “in order processing” and that they can’t give me an estimate on when it will be scheduled or when it will arrive at the dealer. They were however able to confirm my addition of the body colored keypad which I was happy to hear.

thats the same song and dance i get every time i check in, and yes, i think after a certain time period they SHOULD reach out and at the very least reassure their customers that their orders will indeed be filled eventually. and if thats not entirely the case and theres a chance 22 orders could be cancelled, i want to know that as well. the way this is being handled is poor customer service and nothing else. i refuse to contact the dealership cuz i know i will walk away having accomplished absolutely squat. (yes, i am getting pissed and

By “them” are you referring to the dealer? Or a higher authority?

My dealer gives me the impression of genuine indifference.

4 Rangers have showed up at my dealer built weeks/months after mine.. one of the trucks built the same day as mine showed up on the lot this morning. Mine is still sitting on dirt baking in the sun. What a mess Ford.
Yup, no fun at all watching identical trucks built two weeks ago show up locally. Odds go up by the week that I let this one go and revisit in 2023 after Ford and GM officially post details on their next gen versions. Doesn't help the family wants the Wrangler to stick around another summer and the recent top down cruising isn't helping the case for trading it in for the '22 Ranger. Maybe Ford should try a new special package, the Mud Mountain edition, comes with baked on dirt straight from the factory.

Great looking Tremor! That's how I was going to order mine but I let the family change the color to Carb Gray since they want to save blue for the next vehicle we replace. Very nice truck you've got there, congrats!

No I don't contact the dealer much because they're not too great at communication.
I called Ford Customer Support and gave them my order # and sales code and they were able to provide me with order info/status. The status has been "in order processing" since February but I just wanted to make sure it hadn't been cancelled.
