I had the dealer install a Warn Ascent front bumper before I took possession, so the part to come off and get replaced.

The first thing I did myself, was remove the FX4, Ford bed liner, and assembly plant decals.

No dealer decal, but somehow I missed the rear license plate dealer frame they installed, and it stayed on for months. I always back in so I rarely see the rear plate, and forgot about it.

I removed the Eco-Boost, and replaced it with this one:

I’d like to have one of those, but I personally feel as though I should have a tune installed to warrant it.

I personally like the look of the deflectors since they match an STX trim. Besides keeping rain, snow and wind to a minimum, do they cut down on the wind noise inside the cab?
I like the look of window deflectors too, but not when they are installed poorly. Those are too high on that truck, which creates that ugly gap between the front and rear door. Mine are the same, but installed lower on the trim line, and meet perfectly between the doors

Alright, I gotta know. I've had it bouncing around in my head for a few days and haven't figured it out yet. What are spats? Tell me so I can remove them from my truck too!

Jay,
Thinking about getting the weathertechs which have the OEM look and are in channel mounting.

I'm mainly concerned with the noise when the windows are up and traveling on freeways...how was the noise in that environment?
As much as I'd like to say there's no change....there is. Not much of one, mind you, but there is minor increased wind noise with the deflectors. Nothing one more level on the radio doesn't cure (I typically max my volume at 10 for music and 12 for voice if that helps you)
I have the in-channel Weathertech, and had them on my last Ranger too because they worked well for what I wanted and didn't mess with the power windows at all.

Thanks Chris,
On my last road trip the wind noise was bad so any improvement whatsoever will help and the music wasn't as clear as I would like it. Will probably will go with the weathertech :)

The first thing you took off your Ranger???
1. Tremor stickers
2. Tremor side steps/rails
I felt like the stickers were trying too hard and I have Shrockworks frame sliders on order.

What did you do to disable it? I came across this video on YouTube today where unplugging the auto start-stop caused other problems on an F150.
Forscan...zero issues

That's what I've always called the FX-4 "gravel gaurds" on the side of the skidplate. The little half air damn things.

Spat-a short cloth gaiter covering the instep and ankle.
