Hi all, new here.

I recently moved across the world and took my 2021 Ranger Raptor with me. The shippers disconnected the battery, connected it after it came here after a 3 months journey and it started instantly. I drove it onto my drive and it was sitting there for ~6 weeks whilst I'm awaiting registration. I didn't disconnect the battery. I tried to start it and it was dead. Ok fine, so I connect it to my other car to try and jump start it, but I get no crank, nothing. Just a little green LED that keeps blinking on the start/stop button.

The dash says ''full power accessory available" (whatever that means).
I did a BMS reset but still nothing.
took the keyfob and put it in the rearmost cupholder, pointed towards the dash (and every single other direction possible), but still that little green LED blinks away preventing a start.

I'm absolutely convinced that the flashing green LED needs to be reset somehow but searching across the web, I can't find a single fix. Keyfobs (both) work just fine opening and closing the doors (So long it's connected to my X5, since the battery is still dead).

Anyone have any ideas? I don't have Ford Pass because I lived in a 3rd world country at the time that didn't have Ford Pass.

I am no expert but I would replace the battery in your key FOB for a starting point. It may be a coincidence it bit the dust.

Seeing as you need a new battery for the truck I'd get one and see if that clears the full power accessory available & the green LED on the dash.

That's what I was thinking but per his first post "Keyfobs (both) work just fine opening and closing the doors".

if the battery has drained can it not be charged at all any more? That's what I meant with died, sorry for the confusion.

I've not had it volt tested yet, but can bring the battery to have tested somewhere tomorrow just to be sure...

EDIT: Yes both keyfobs work just fine and not getting a key error either.

If you can have it tested and if there's an Autozone (or something similar) near you they'll do it for free. There could be a dead cell (s) which is preventing it from holding a charge.

Seeing as we don't have Raptors here and this is a ROTW Ranger it's just a guess right now. I don't recall anyone here having a flashing green LED on their dash.

Ah I forgot that the States didn't get the '21 Ranger Raptor...! can get the battery checked out tomorrow, but I do find it strange that even when trying to jump it using my X5 (that's on) and there's not even an attempt of of it trying to start, which leads me to believe the blinking LED must have something to do with it.

I don't know if the blinking LED is related to the alarm/PATS system? I've attached a video I took earlier and put it on youtube, maybe that'll shed some more light.

Can you get a reader and check if there are any codes set in the PCM. Not all codes wil set the CEL.

I know if I don't push the gas pedal and just the push button I'll get that same flashing green light. I tried to search online and only found this video but he says to disconnect the battery and it'll reset. Also read the comments as there are several who've had similar issues.

Unfortunately not, but there's a dealer not too far that could help with that worst case scenario...

I'll give both a try, will report back tomorrow morning! Thanks

Hi guys, just a quick update.

It was indeed the battery that had the issue. Ford came round and put another battery in and after some hesitation it started up. Even though the X5 was on and connected to the Ranger I think the computer thought that there wouldn't be enough juice in the battery to start so refused to even attempt it. Not the most intelligent system in my opinion but I guess Ford has their reasons. Dealer was incredibly helpful and very friendly.

Currently it's at the dealer, I had to order a new taillight as the original one was without a left rear fog light needed for registration.

Once this is all sorted, quietly on the lookout to add a ~2019 5.0 F150 and do a raptor conversion (yep aware the rear suspension will never make it a true raptor). Need a V8 back in my life...

Glad to hear it was an easy fix for you. Letting it sit that long especially if it's hot out will drain these batteries. I'd get a battery maintainer if you're going to having it sitting for long periods in the future.

Normally it gets used daily so that wouldn't be an issue. But ordered a ctek one the other day regardless.

Thanks again for the advice everyone!
