For a chronological reference this was my experience with my Carbonized Gray Supercab XL (XL101A/STX Special Edition/STX Appearance/FX4/Bed Utility/Trailer Tow/Carpet Delete), I ordered October 19, 2021. The order was confirmed on October 21 by Ford. On October 28 I received the email saying it was scheduled to be built the week of January 3rd and I received my VIN in that email. On January 22 the production was changed to the week of February 14. On February 4 the production was changed to the week March 7. On March 10 I received an email indicating the truck had been built on March 9 and was scheduled to be delivered between March 30 and April 5. On April 15 I received an email indicating the truck had shipped and would be delivered between April 15 and April 21. On April 18 the delivery window changed to between April 30 and May 6.

This morning my sales representative called and said your truck is at the dealership. He said he would push to get truck ready for delivery by noon. He called me around 10:00 and said your is being cleaned.

I got back from the Ford dealer around 2:15 today. The truck was exactly as ordered and in perfect shape. I can’t say enough good things about Ezequiel at Ford of Dalton and the buying process. They were great to work with.

I got MSRP minus the $1000 for a custom order and $1250 coupon from Ford. After my downpayment the remainder was financed at 0.9% for 4 years.

Too much information?

No incentive in the mail for me.

Holy crap - we'll have nearly identical builds! Race Red XL Supercab 101A 2-wheel drive, tow package. No spray in but did get carpet interior.

Good luck and I hope you get your build done early!
At this point I'm just waiting them out.

When did you order? Did you get your build scheduled yet?

There are still very few current Rangers 19-22 here around the Tampa area.

To be honest, if they could toss the XLT cluster in that would make me over the moon. One of the hold ups for me selecting a Lariat in the first place was the cluster, I like the XLT's better. So, maybe a silver lining and i'd get what I was after in the first place! Oh well, here's to the wait!
I have a Lariat on order as well and feel the same way as you do in regard to the cluster. I hadn't read anything about the dual screen cluster being a commodity issue but would definitely prefer to have the XLT version.

The coupon came in the mail this past Saturday.
Wow! Timing is everything! Have you called Ford and asked for a PCO or a brochure at any time in order to get that?

Not really sure what PCO stands for, but I think no. I recently pre-applied for approval for Ford financing and I wonder if that might have triggered it.

I ordered my Scab XLT FX4 with 302A, tech, tow, black appearance, engine block heater on September 3 2021. October 28th my order got changed to a 22. Nothing until dec 12 when they confirmed my order. Feb17 received email saying scheduled to be built 3/28. 3/11 received email saying build has moved up to 3/14. Awesome. 3/14 build moved to 4/4. Has been in production since 4/6. Tracker doesn’t show anything besides in production. So I’m getting a little pissed as others who ordered after me are getting trucks! At least I get the $1000 for ordering and $1750 because my 21 was canceled.

I agree with you. I don’t understand why someone with a canceled ā€˜21 order wouldn’t be pushed to the head of the line for a ā€˜22.

Andy, Congratulations on getting your truck now go out and enjoy that thing. I received my email today with my vin and scheduled build date(June 20th). I ordered mine on the 23rd of February and received confirmation same day so it’s 65 days for me. No rhyme nor reason with Ford on their scheduling. I’m ok with that at least I know I will get one eventually. Anybody know how long till a window sticker shows up?

Maybe being a Lariat is our issue. I thought I saw somebody post on this forum that the dual display gauge cluster was an issue or rumored to no longer be offered.
You may be onto something. Did you also get the email in early April saying they have run into some delays? I'd gladly give up the lariat cluster in favor of the other one. Only reason I ordered Lariat is to get LED headlights. I wonder if only non-lariat orders are what is getting scheduled?

FWIW, I've been chatting for more than a month with a much higher volume dealer than the one near me and they said they would take an x-plan order and because of their volume would likely get it before my local dealer. So I went ahead and placed the order. Hasn't helped so far. Neither order has prompted a build.

We have been planning (VERY LOOSELY) a year long road trip starting mid July. Was supposed to get from new england up to Alaska for late September. We can hang out for a month or two near our home (which won't be home anymore since everything is going into long term storage) dealer that gave us a great price on the order, but I'm getting so antsy about getting my hands on the truck so the few mods I want to do I can do myself to ensure they are done up to my standards. What I want (except it also has the hard toneau cover...which would get chucked) is sitting on a dealer lot 40 miles away and they want 4K more than what my order would be (2K over MSRP)plus use their financing (but a rate comprable to my credit union). I feel desperation setting in....

I just got a call from the dealer, and my truck is at the dealership earlier than projected by Ford. It had been in Atlanta since this past Sunday. So at noon I’m heading to the dealership to look it over and finalize, if everything is good.

As an aside, I posed this question on another section of the forum. Has anyone else received an add on incentive offer from Ford in the mail? I got one for an additional $1250 on top of the publicly available ones.

Yes I received the incentive. Hopefully I'll be able to use it. It expires in July. My truck is to be built week of May 16. It should work with my X-plan if I'm not mistaken.

I've received zero communication since my order confirmation. I noticed that it looks like non-Lariat's are being scheduled and the Lariats are not. The main difference is the gauge cluster. Whether it is true or not I don't know. I remember reading a post about the dual 4.5" displays on the cluster as a possible issue.

I recommend contacting your dealer and providing that incentive to them. They should apply that to the order even if you don't take delivery before July when it expires.
