Well I doubt the prices will go down but let’s hope! I also don’t recall seeing ethanol percentages posted in Colorado but I tend to only buy from Costco.
I wish our Rangers took E85.

Why E85?

Well prior to a year ago it was much much cheaper, cools your intake charge and you can get more power using it. It has a much higher octane rating- I think like 100-115 if I remember correctly.
that’s also the only mod I didn’t get to do to my WRX before I sold it.

Is your Ranger tuned for E85?

To the OP:
as cap.jpg

Reads: GASOLONE / E0-E15. Are you still talking?!?!
You're trying to make a point - I suspect you have no clue what that point could be. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing for those who are capable of comprehending proven data? I understand perfectly what Ford approves as motor fuel. It doesn't change the fact those 'approvals' are NOT the best possible fuels. Any more questions? Comments?

COMMENT:
OP question was this: Does anyone add any additives to combat Ethanol? Or is it a non-issue?

If it is approved, as stated on the gas cap, it does not need additives to "combat" Ethanol.

Question was not is it the best possible fuel, unless you are reading something else.

No more questions.....

E15 was EPA approved in 2011. The truck and pretty much any vehicle built in the last two decades will be fine with 5% more ethanol.

Lol Wut?
We had a guy trolling the Mercury Marauder board trying to promote E85 in a car he didn't own or understood the properties of tuning, fuel pump capacity, fuel injector capacity, anything. We took him apart - I received a PM from him telling me I was a g** d*** r***** - I just shook my head....

What's funny is the guy got caught posting images that others on the board recognized and verified. The MM group isn't very large but is well networked - only 11,518(?) sold from the summer of 2002 to the fall of 2004. Sold my Marauder in the spring of 2020 and bought the 300S in the fall of 2020. I miss all of my vehicles....

Don't we always switch to summer mix in the summer? Local station has e15 88 octane and I've used it fairly often. You wont notice much or any difference between e15 and regular. 5% difference is negligible from my experience. I did notice better mpg with premium.
Yes , but summer grade in the Midwest is still 87 octane, it merely uses less C3s and C4s in the blend in order to raise the vapor pressure for higher anbient temperatures.
IMO going above 10% ethanol will lower both MPG and engine life.
The more Ethanol the greater the effect.
The Ranger owner's manual says NOT to use any fuel with more than 15% ethanol.
5% is a 50% increase.... hardly negligible.

So much bad information here jeez.

E15 is common. You have likely put it in your vehicle (often) at some point over the last decade. It's not necessarily 15% ethanol. It's up to that amount. We switch to this higher blend about every summer.

Not likely a problem in a regular use modern vehicle. Could be problematic in lawn equipment and old cars with carburetors and not often used. Minor additional maintenance needed with it for these uses or if your vehicle is going to sit

This truck can't run E85 as built, but people have modified many vehicles for it. Often at least injectors need to be changed. (And to the guy who said no vehicles run on E85... what? Why would they sell it if no used it?)
Unless it was because of a fraudulent label at the pump. I have never put any fuel with more than E10 in my vehicles. If I have to, I may use E15 in an emergency but I sure won't be happy to do so.
