Shockingly, I'm not so funny in real life. I can be sarcastic for sure, but tend to be more serious and boring and I tend to bottle up my emotions.

At one point in my life I had a closet full of the same white t-shirts and button ups, and similar slacks and wasn't even an office worker. Just one step away from being...

But if I can put a smile one someones face at the end of the day, then I guess it works out.
Hi Jake,

I remember those days....a Sea of white shirts at Ford...... :)

Best,
Phil

White Shirts to 'Business Casual' to closing. American Express (and others) were falling like dominoes through the 90s. Business Casual until retirement.

No pics of my lima beans, but let my Ranger rest and watch while I did the first mowing of the season. :)
And no, I’m not going to rake up that little bit of pine straw.:turkey:

Today, I did what I normally do and wish my Ranger was ANY other truck. I'd rather have my '86 Ranger back. However, I built a holder/rack for my fishing rods.

Truck? I came from an F-150, downsizing due to gas. The Ranger doesn't even compare. Biggest gripe is the radio comes on automatically. If I go to warm up the car, or just prefer to enjoy the silence, AM Radio (static) comes on automatically. Who thought that was a good idea? So, I have to remember to turn the radio on, then kill the volume because the volume button has no stop, when I warm up the car. I do that manually because the phone app which is supposed to remote start the truck is so unreliable, it's not worth the time screwing with it. The truck is 20 feet from my door, and over a 5G connection, it works about half the time. The app says the vehicle started, but reality shows otherwise. I can't turn off the windshield wipers once they are on. The stalk (stalks... really?) is once inch behind the steering wheel which means anyone with hands larger than my 10 year old son will accidentally trigger the worst wipe control system I have ever seen. I created a separate post about this.

Things I do like: Better gas mileage than an F-150 (obviously). Much easier to park than a full-sized vehicle. Despite being a lousy 4cyl, it moves. I'm not sure if its producing 200 or 270 horse, but I do have passing power to escape those that must drive 55 in the passing lane. Sorry to rant.

Your radio must be different than mine for some reason. Power? My last full size truck was a new 1981 Chevrolet. Four brand new Rangers since 1988. Estimated RWHP on each: 2.9L V6: 110hp. 4.0L V6: 180hp. 2.3 Ecoboost: 240hp on 87, 255hp on 93 and 305 on 93 w/tune. I'm 5'10" average build, wife is 5'0" average build. The controls in your Ranger must be different than ours for some reason. Maybe our Lariat is a 'one off' vehicle that escaped R&D out the back door - one can never tell any more.

I have a lariat and can’t answer to these problems you’re having. My Ranger automatically pairs to my phone when I start it. It either plays my music or podcasts, whichever I happen to be listening to. My wipers stop moving when I push the stalk all the way down. Maybe someone with an XL or XLT can address these issues you’re having. There may be a simple solution. :)
