I ordered a Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor in “CACTUS GRAY”. There was a Ford Bronco on the lot that claimed to be cactus gray, it looked like a flat gray color that was shiny. But every picture I have seen on the Internet, video commercial, or phone, has ranged from pure gray to seafoam green to light gray to a bluish gray green… Would I be wise to say I picked a color that changes rather than stuck to what i originally saw? I’m hoping I don’t have a Jordan almond colored truck delivered… NOR A CHICK COLOR. …LOL

OPINIONS?

I’m somewhat colour blind. To me it looks baby blue most of the time. The girlfriend says it is really pale grey. At times, if there isn’t something white beside it, you would think it is white - at least I do sometimes. Overcast days make it appear darker. I like the variations, my lead foot Grey F-150 had the same effect.
I love posting pics of mine. Here are a few showing the range of colours.

There are a couple of Catus Grey Rangers running around in my area. It is a very light grey and in low light conditions you would think it is white. One of the ones is a Tremor with the Tremor graphics, it looks really good.

I have a Carbonized Grey Tremor with the Tremor graphics. I like the monochromatic look so Carbonized Grey with the Magnetic Grey bumpers, flares and grill give me that look.

My daughter who's good with colors "artist type" said it has green in it. I don't see it but I have seen some Cactus Grey photos in low light conditions and there was a green hue to the truck. Cactus Grey was originally a Bronco color and Ford changed the configurator to match the real world view as the online was more blue. https://www.motor1.com/news/486849/ford-bronco-cactus-grey-change/

It always amazes me anytime I am at the auto body supply store to get paint mixed the colors they add to the mix to get the final color.

My 68 Barracuda I painted sublime green actually has a bright red in the mix.

I almost bought a Tremor in Cactus Grey, but the dealer wanted $5k over MSRP. When I saw the color online, I did not like it, but in person, I thought it was pretty cool. It definitely has a lot of green and blue in it, and it does seem to change in different lighting conditions.

That said, I did not love the color, and I was not sure I would be happy with it in the long run; but I do think it is very unique.

I love the Cactus Grey! A co-worker of mine has a Cactus Grey Bronco that I park next too all the time. I will be honest, I did not think that his vehicle was that color, but it is. I think the Ranger color version has more green in it. I see this very faint pistachio hue in the mix. The Bronco Cactus Grey look like a shiny flat grey to me....

I'll be the first Cactus Grey owner to say it. :) I wish I would have waited out for Velocity Blue or White instead of this color choice.

I also thought that the first couple times that I saw it in person it looked like a flat grey to me. Now the longer I own it, it looks more and more faded seafoam green. It's just an odd color in certain lighting.

I've almost come to the point of paying for a wrap just so I can have a different color to look at LOL. Just don't want to ruin the paint on the truck if I have to remove it to sell.

As quail guy said above. "Pistachio hue" is a perfect way to describe it.

Pictures never seem to really capture the color properly. If I use my phone, I have to color adjust it or it doesn't look right. Heck even Ford's website doesn't look right.

I took a gamble because I ordered mine before anything cactus gray was even available to look at. All I had was a color sheet. But I’m happy I chose the gray. To me it almost always looks flat light gray. In certain lights you can see the green show a bit.

Cactus gray was my first choice. I like how the color changes with the different lighting, and it would hide dirt well so your not washing it every week. I could not find one available when I was looking, so I lucked out on my second color choice carbon gray in a Tremor for a decent price. It looks really good in person, especially with the tremor exterior items.

I even called the salesman who sold me my last three cars… “I do not want to look like a chick colored truck” … he said, “ definitely not a chick colored vehicle, I personally think that you will be very happy with it, I am going to have some of the pictures thatvevcome over from actual people that have bought their cactus grey and send them to you”
