Watch Bronco Roll Backwards After Engine Dies!

The engine died for no reason and this Bronco took a nice tumble backwards. From reading on another site it's his wife's Bronco and yes he has a history of pushing his Bronco to the limit. Still NO excuse for the engine to just die like that. But hey at least the tie rods didn't break. ?

How do we know it 'died for no reason'. Was the tank low and the fuel couldn't get to the engine? There are far too many unknowns to claim 'no reason'. I never buy it.

Nope there's no way to control it once the engine dies. Lucky he didn't roll it and get pinned underneath.

Several different articles and there were a couple guys on the B6G forum there who know him. Said it just cut out for no reason and lost all power.

And here I was thinking that with the new Bronco, the Jeep Wrangler would finally have a real off road competitor that also has reliability.

Jeep probably collects these videos and plays them at board meetings (waiting for a video of a Bronco wasting its alternator after a mud crossing).

All these Bronco flaws are making me real glad I have my old 2019 Ranger.

Not gonna be in any rush at all for the new Ranger Raptor.

So you are telling me if a Bronco runs out of gas on the highway, you can't move it to the side of the road because you can't steer it?
I don't believe that.
And brakes also work without power. It's a matter of safety. Now it may be difficult to steer or brake and people using dampers and steps to get into the bed won't be able to do it but surely normal everyday people will be able to steer and brake without power.

If your engine shuts off you will immediately lose power steering assist and you will have 1 or 2 applications of the brake with power assist.

Now imagine that rolling backwards down a steep hill, in a heavy vehicle, with big tires.

Hi Dave,

Engine stalls are not permitted under any condition. This needs Powertrain Engineering diagnosis...Hope this happens...Brakes and steering should have been doable though efforts would likely been high...

Here's someone who talked to the driver Tyler the next day. Quotes are in response to others questions.

It wasn't his driving that caused it....the engine stalled at the most inopportune time. I talked to Tyler the next day.

I'm pretty sure it's an automatic....that's what was surprising. They haven't figured out why it stalled....they thought maybe the angle triggered the fuel cut off switch
