Anyone got a dyno chart for a Roush intake or others?

I'm looking at intakes and sheesh, so many options. I'm leaning toward Roush at this point, but they only claim 8 lb ft of torque, no horsepower increase. Mishimoto is 6+ HP on stock everything plus the torque. I like the idea of building a Roush Ranger and will probably get the exhaust as well. There is also aFe and Airaid. This is going to be the basis for my build, so I want to do it right the first time.

I doubt many would give much of a gain. Stock isnt a horrific design. Also with a turbo the sound change won't be like wat you get on an N/A engine.

I'd say save the money on an intake for a tune and get way more out of it.

..edit.. I have no dyno proof of any of this

Aftermarket intakes will add no perceptible increase to the butt dyno on these trucks.

The factory setup is fine.

I say this when I have the full Mishimoto intake myself.

The only reason I have it is because I got a good deal on the setup.

I would be disappointed if I'd spent $400+ for it.

I'm just going to go for the Roush, I guess, strictly on looks alone. I understand that CAIs typically don't do much by themselves, but I'm looking at the overall picture of a FP tune, Roush exhaust and maybe a downpipe.

On a turbo vehicle, for there to be a noticeable difference in stock vs aftermarket intake it needs to be tuned for. A roush intake and ford performance tune most likely would be within a few hp/tq of a stock intake and ford performance tune.
As others have said, the factory intake isn’t an extremely limiting factor on these engines. If you’re looking for more power start with a tune, and if that isn’t enough for you then go to a high flow cat, e85 (or blends) and custom tune.

Well, no custom tune here for at least 3 years as I'm not giving up my warranty...so FP tune it is! Think of this as long-term plans.

As someone who has built a few turbo vehicles, I’d hold off on the intake until it is necessary for your build. You may end up changing directions and needing something different, and until it’s needed it’s an expensive visual accessory.

@livetoski78 - Please see post #6 in this thread to see some research on intakes for these trucks. Hope it helps!

All a Roush Ranger is, is more or less a cosmetic package from the factory. It doesn't even come with their cold air intake and the exhaust is just a re-branded Borla from my understanding.

There is no "Roush Ranger" you can build.

A sub $500 tuner from any brand on the market puts out a crap ton more performance gains than the $13,000 to $18,00 package "Roush" from Ford.

Yeah, I was thinking more of my idea of what a Roush Ranger should be. I’m not into changing the appearance all that much, more the HP side of things. After doing some more research, it seems like there are better options. The Roush CAI looks pretty sweet with that window and the logo on it, though!
